Fairmont Grand Del Mar

This year, we returned to the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, a perennial favorite among San Diego’s hotels, and once again, it did not disappoint. Faced with the difficult decision between Hotel Del and Fairmont, we ultimately settled on the latter—a choice we were glad we made. Despite the discouraging weather forecast of a 90% chance of rain (San Diego’s recent downpours had us a bit concerned, especially for the little ones and their Easter egg hunt), we remained optimistic.

Typically, the Fairmont Grand Del Mar hosts its Easter festivities outdoors, but due to the inclement weather, plans had to be swiftly adjusted, and everything was seamlessly moved indoors. Kudos to the staff for their impeccable organization. From delightful treats like hot chocolate and popcorn post-Easter egg hunt to enchanting activities such as face painting and balloon artistry, there was no shortage of entertainment for all ages.

When it came time to dine, we were spoiled for choice with two options: the lavish buffet or the tempting pre-fixe menu at Amaya restaurant. Opting for the Easter buffet proved to be a wise decision—the culinary offerings exceeded our expectations. And for parents, here’s a tip: children aged 3 and under dine for free with a paying adult, making these events more accessible. With no immediate family nearby, celebrating holidays at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar has become a cherished tradition for us. The joy it brings to Milan and Meadow and the memories we create are truly priceless.

Ivy City Co. Dresses

Now, let’s talk fashion. We rocked our Ivy City Co. matching mommy-and-me dresses, and let me tell you, they were a hit! While I’m usually a pink aficionado, this time we opted for blue dresses for a refreshing change. The quality of these dresses is simply unparalleled, not to mention they come with pockets—a major win! And for those of us on the petite side, fret not. Ivy City Co. dresses may not be specifically tailored for petites, but the sizing is spot-on. I typically wear XXS or 00, and the fit is always impeccable, with a length that’s petite-friendly. Cheers to that! Ivy City Co. truly understands the needs of all body types, and for that, I’m grateful. 🙂
