Happy Monday! Today I want to share with you this adorable Shabby Apple dress. I love dresses with elbow sleeves and this one is was too cute to pass up. It comes with the black sash too!
The smallest size they have is a 0/2 which was a bit wide and long for me. Since the material is 100% cotton, I was able to wash and dry it on high heat (one cycle) which made the dress slightly smaller. Shrinking clothes is not recommended and is also very risky so please do it at your own risk. I also took up the hem several inches (forgot how long it was originally).
You can wear the black sash with the bow in the front or back. I like it both ways depending on my mood. I would definitely recommend this! On another note, here are some items I tried on this past weekend:
Banana Republic Printed Blue Fit and Flare Dress – size 00P (buy here)
Pieced Panel Sheath Dress – size 00P (buy here)
Ponte Cross-Back Fit and Flare Dress – size 00P (buy here)
H&M sleeveless dress in navy – size 2 (buy here)
This is the same as the yellow in my previous post and also the same as the blush that I tried last year or the year before (too lazy to find the photo). I did end up taking this home with me. I like that I can wear it to work and on the weekends. Would recommend.
H&M Sweatshirt Skirt – size 2 (buy here)
I didn’t care for this but wanted to share in case anyone likes it.
H&M textured tweed dress – size 2 (buy here)
This is from the “Trend” collection and is super cute. It was hard for me to pass on this but now I’m sort of regretting it. I love that it has pockets and sleeves but unfortunately has an exposed zipper in the back.
Forever 21 striped knee length skirt – size small (buy here)
Meausrements: waist 11.5″ across, length 22″
I was shocked at how thick the material on this skirt was. I couldn’t believe the quality and forced myself to try it on. Size small fits me perfectly but I must warn you, it does not provide much stretch so I’d suggest sizing up if you are unsure. I like that the length is modest and hits me right at my knees. I’m so glad it’s not skin tight on me and I’ll be able to wear it to work. The best part is – the skirt is only $10.50! And the stripes on the sides actually line up (my biggest pet peeve when they are uneven). It’s available in black/white or navy/white. I got navy/white (obviously). You can buy it here.
Thanks for reading and have a great day! π

Exposed zippers are the worst! I don’t know why that’s become a trend.
Love this dress on you. Looking classy as always! π

This is a lovely dress. I find the necklace and pumps charming, and I also adore the handbag. The setting is beautiful with the red flowers. All the fitting room outfits you’ve put together are also very nice. Wonderful style, Annie.

This Shabby Apple dress is so gorgeous on you and I’m glad to hear that you had success with shrinking it! I really love the circle print which is different from the usual solid polka dots. I also love this back drop with the beautiful floral vines. It’s so romantic!
Thanks Jess! I’m really happy with how the dress came out:)

I have been looking at the Banana Republic Blue Printed Fit and Flare Dress and would love to hear more about it! I will have to order it online because I am petite too and regular size BR stuff never fits me. I am usually 1 size up from you so did the 00P fit you alright? Was the fabric nice and was it a well-made dress? I am looking for a law school graduation dress and love this print and style.
Yes the 00p fit me perfectly! The fabric is nice and thick – great quality and would definitely recommend:)

Hello Annie, I was considering purchasing the yellow fit and flare dress. How would you describe the fit and overall look of the dress in person
Hi! Can you remind me which dress you are referring to? I can’t tell from your comment and this post is so old I can’t remember. Lol
