I recently wore this outfit to dinner with friends and posted it here. It was very comfortable and left plenty of room for my belly to expand. I waited over 9 weeks for this Modcloth stripe it lucky skirt (now back in stock) and it was worth the wait. After my Anthropologie petite scalloped striped skirt didn’t work out (see here), I had my fingers crossed that this one would be the winner.
Although it fits perfectly and the pleats lay nicely, I wish the waistband wasn’t elastic. It also has an exposed zipper in the back and is unlined but it matches the price point. I’m willing to look past these issues because the pleats and shape of the skirt are really nice and proportional. The Anthropologie striped skirt did not look as pretty although the material and quality were amazing.
I’ve been in need of a work bag for what seems like an eternity and now I can finally check it off the list! This was a gift from hubby for my birthday and I couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s the perfect size (18¼”W X 10″H X 6″D) and the leather is a textured pebble grain Italian leather – unbelievably soft. The interior is also lined in leather and has a zipper enclosure on top (which was an important factor for me).
The handle drop is 8″ which is a bit too short to carry over the shoulder but it is possible. I usually prefer to carry my work bag in my hands. I love that the logo is discreet and the color is exactly what I was looking for. It’s actually the same color as my Ferragamo Nocciola reversible belt. There’s an inner zip pouch which is great for chapstick, lipgloss and gum (3 work essentials for me).
I’ve had a lot of questions about this cognac bow belt and thanks to Xiao Berry on Facebook – she found a great dupe for only $11 here. This belt came from a dress I found at TJMaxx and am hoping to replace it with a leather one just like it. I adore the simplicity and clean lines of the bow.

Aside from the elastic waistband and exposed zipper the fabric appears to be very nice quality. The cognac double-bow is a nice touch and your new work bag is the perfect size without being overwhelming for your height. 🙂
