The only downside to this dress is that it’s unlined. I don’t understand why BR does this to some of their dresses, especially given the price point. Does it really cost that much to put a thin layer of lining? I love stripes and I don’t have anything like this that I can wear to work.
The length is perfect on me and this dress requires no alterations! Woo hoo! See me wearing it to work with my vintage gold chain here on Instagram. After taking these photos, I like this outfit with the gold chain better but I was so antsy to showcase my new necklace.
I love my new mini classic flap (2012 collection) although I do wish it was more of a richer cognac color. The color is called “light brown” but it’s more of a light saddle brown or a light cognac. I noticed that the caviar is much softer than my other flaps. I was hesitant about it being too small but I think it’s a great size and it doubles as a cross body.
What are your thoughts on this dress?

I was just in the BR store today and saw this dress – LOVE! For some reason, the petite sizes of it were marked on sale, but the regular size was still full price. Will definitely be stalking this one because it is so cute!

Lining isn't expensive but it is a pain in the patootie construction-wise. I'm guessing they only line when they absolutely have to :). Looks great on you! I think Ping has this too.

I think you look picture perfect. The dress is not something I'll be running off to buy tomorrow (just because I have so many in this cut) but it is a perfect closet staple. I love that the stripes play off as a neutral and if I had to run into the courtroom I can see myself layering a blue blazer with it. The smaller flaps are so cute to me now. I was a Jumbo collector and I am starting to want the smaller ones so badly! Especially since my Hermes constance order is taking forever!
Anyway, I know what you mean about the cognac color. I have it too and was thinking of a DIY darkening… I will let you know if—I mean WHEN I am successful on that end. I don't think I;ll have the time to dedicate to this scary DIY until August (after the bar exam), so it will be a while.
I wish I could pull of horizontal stripes. I think I am a bit too short and a bit to heavy for it though

I think horizontal stripes fit better on girls that are less busty… otherwise, it makes them look overly huge and in your face.
