This month’s Petite Fashion Challenge is being hosted by Petite on a Penny. The challenge is:
Summer Wedding: Create an outfit for a Summer Wedding. For Bonus points, try to make your outfit, head to toe come under $100 (or exclude shoes and accessories to meet the $100 mark).
I have been so behind on the blogging world that I almost missed this challenge. Thanks to Jessy tweeting about it, I was able to squeeze in at the last minute.
Dress: Ann Taylor – 00p (similar HERE and HERE)
Blouse: Ann Taylor {see on Kelly} – size 00P (similar HERE and HERE)

Shoes: Christian Louboutin – (buy HERE)
Purse: Chanel (similar vintage Chanel HERE)
A word of caution if you are interested in this dress (I believe it’s sold out online but it’s recent- style #278117), the fit is very wide. I also bought the refined jersey dress in mystical green but that is also too wide- see here. I have this dress pinned for the sake of this post but the waist and sides will need to be slimmed. I really like the color and don’t have any sheath dresses with sleeves so I’ll be getting this tailored. This is my second attempt at layering a collared shirt under a dress. It was much easier because of the material – it doesn’t show the lumps as much and it helped that the dress was loose. See how I layered a chambray blouse underneath my Loft sweater dress here. I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with:)
This has been Petite Fashion Challenge #16:
Great colour Annie! Gah I did miss it – I was thinking about packing an outfit for the challenge for vacation but as I only got 3 hours of sleep the night before out flight I completely forgot! Everything I have with me is way to casual for a wedding 🙁
LOVE that dress! It is really beautiful color. Looking forward to seeing you in altered dress!
Fitted clothes don't fit me anymore so I had to skip this month's challenge 🙁 Pink definitely suits you. Do you think the dress will shrink if you wash it on cold and hang dry it?
The dress is a great color on you. Glad you were able to join the PFC. I sat out this month.
OOhhh I am loving this color!!! Really stands out but not too much (you know how you have to try to keep your look low key at weddings…hahaha) Another great PFC outfit from you! I am inspired!
Yay! So happy I tweeted it – even at the last minute. The layers make this outfit seem really warm, but you pull this off very well. Great job!
I can totally relate on being behind on blogging :/ But you threw together a pretty amazing look, I love the bright pink!

I'm in love with your bow belt and think you should wear it more often! Also loving the color of this dress – looks so pretty paired with the button-down!
Beautiful shade of pink! Love the dress on you!
I really like the collared-shirt-under-dress look; and it looks great on you!
So glad you were able to participate at the last minute!

the color of the dress is nice and very bold. this outfit is great for a summer wedding!
I really love this dress on you! It's such a beautiful color! And your hair is getting soooo long!!! Love it!
Pink is a good colour for you and it's a great outfit for a casual wedding.
(most of us seem to be going for casual, it looks like)
You look great with bright colors 🙂 Really pretty 🙂

I like the outfit a lot, but would wear it to work instead of a wedding.
I like the pearls!
Be careful… you don't want to outshine the bride! Nice look!

You know… I prefer the dress you actually wore earlier on in the season for that wedding you attended more than this outfit. that yellow dress was a stunner on you and was very appropriate for weddings. I think this is a better work outfit. bc it's summer and assuming it's a socal summer, i would think layering is too hot. also, a collar shirt layered underneath a sheath would be more suited for work- as the collar gives the ensemble a more serious demeanor. i think this would work better if u just wore that H&M collar shirt alone or this beautiful pink sheath dress w/the pearls by itself. the layers doesn't seem practical. in the summer, if it's a nighttime wedding, ppl will wear pashminas instead. and since the pink dress alerady has sleeves, I would think it would keep you arm, even in summer nights.
Annie, I can see you losing the collared shirt and dancing the night away in this dress 😉 Love the color on you!
i like the bright pink. it's very vivid and great for summer! also, i just launched my blog sale (pandaphilia.tumblr.com) and would love it if you took a look! there are many petite-friendly pieces that i am trying to find a better home for. my closet is overflowing! i'm planning on adding more things like a 00P ann taylor blazer too. thanks annie!
Annie, as always, such a classy look! Very sophisticated yet sexy!! I love that this look would be wearable to work too. Pink and black is always a winner! Didn't you recently post a dress suggestion for wedding guests? I think it was from the petites section of ASOS? -That would have been a cute link to add in here too for those who missed it.
I paired my dress options with Louboutins too! 🙂 When you get a chance, I'd love to hear your fashionable opinions on my entry for this challenge, at A Preponderance of Fashion
love the pink dress on u!! i'm so jelly of your chanel collection!!!
I love the look of sheath dresses but have yet to purchase one. I might just pick one up after this post.
