We had so much fun in Cabo! We stayed at Villa La Valencia – a newer luxury resort in Los Cabos and it was amazing. It’s a five start resort with options for an all inclusive plan (all meals and drinks included).
I got so many questions on Instagram about this resort. Here are some FAQ’s:
Is the resort kid friendly?
Villa La Valencia is 100% kid and family friendly. There’s an amazing lazy river that Milan became obsessed about and the main reason why I chose this resort. The resort haas several pools/areas with shallow water for kids. They even have a kids center you can utilize.
Is the food good?
YES! If you choose the all inclusive plan, you have 3 restaurants ( to choose from for dinner, a breakfast buffet (kids favorite) and pool side services for food and drinks. Meadow loved the virgin Pina Coladas! Everything is a la carte except the breakfast buffet. This worked out nicely for us and the breakfast buffet was a big hit with Milan and Meadow. They both ate well and there are plenty of options for them to choose from.
Is the resort good for couples?
Absolutely! The resort is great for couples. There’s an infinity edge pool (my favorite spot) that is mostly if not all adults/couples. Plus there’s also a separate pool for adults only.
How expensive is this resort?
It all depends on your budget and what your needs are. Also keep in mind that it is a five star resort. I chose this resort because it’s newer and had the room/amenities we were looking for plus the lazy river was what sold me. If you choose the all inclusive plan, it will definitely cost more than if you choose just a room. My ideal vacation is one where I don’t have to worry about food/drinks for everyone (especially with kids). For me, having to think about what to eat for every meal is so stressful so whenever I can opt for an all inclusive plan, I absolutely will not hesitate. The cost is definitely worth it for my mental well being. 🙂
**Side note – the all inclusive plan is not 100% all inclusive. It does not include premium items such as imported alcohol etc. Anything that is listed on the menu as premium item is not included in the all inclusive plan. If you are unsure, always ask. We didn’t have any issues with this.**
How far is this resort from downtown Los Cabos?
The resort is about a 15 minute car ride to downtown Los Cabos. We only left the resort once to get the kids some souvenirs. I usually don’t like to leave a resort once I’m planted but my husband loves to explore. We had a great time and ate some rolled ice-cream and had lunch near the marina.
How was the service?
The overall service and hospitality of the resort was great. Check in and checking out went very smoothly. The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The only time service was a bit slow was at the pool. It would take awhile to get food/drinks but our server was super nice and tried his best. We didn’t mind since the kids were always busy swimming and having fun.
Would you recommend this resort?
Yes I would! It was exactly what we had hoped for. It fit our family’s needs and we had a wonderful time. Milan keeps asking if we can go back next month. Lol
The only thing I would recommend not doing is going to Cabo in August. It’s the hottest and most humid time to visit and at times unbearable. We got lucky and didn’t get any rain so all in all, the weather was good to us.
Hope you found this review helpful! I’m already planning our next family vacation. It’s so hard traveling with little kids especially internationally but they did great on this trip and I think they are ready fore more adventures! 🙂
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Sherry! We had a wonderful time! XO
Thank you for the review on this place! We are thinking of going to Cabo next March and trying to find an All-Inclusive that is great for my husband and I as well as our 10 year old daughter…. I have a question, is, did you use the airport transfer and if so how is easy is it? Thanks Annie!
Hi Alisa! Gosh I’m trying to remember but I think we used a private car directly through the hotel. It was just easier this way for us!
