Blazer: H & M navy- size 2 (similar here)
Skirt: H & M floral pink skirt- size XS (similar here or here)
Shoes: Aldo gold wedge sandals – size 5 (similar here) Ring: F21 (similar here or here)

I’m not sure if anyone has noticed but I have been trying to build the more “casual” side of my closet. I have great pieces for work (thanks to blogging) but on my off days,  as I am getting ready to go out with hubby for the day, I find myself sitting and staring aimlessly into the racks of my closet. I mumble to myself, “I have nothing to wear….I have no casual clothes.” And then I find myself stomping my foot like a kid and end up pouting because I can’t come up with a casual outfit.
This H & M skirt is only $12.95 and comes in all kinds of colors. I chose pink (of course) and I loved that it had speckles of navy and light blue flowers. It’s a tiny bit sheer but opaque enough that if you wear nude panties, you should be fine.

The entire outfit (minus accessories) was only $53. Here is everything broken down: Blazer $34.95 + Tee $5.95 + Skirt $12.95 = $53 (Okay, so I rounded down few bucks for the sake of the title.)

Please excuse the gold sandals, this will explain why I am on a crazy search for the summer sandals! I seriously have none! I would have loved to pair this outfit with some camel/brown sandals.

You can recreate this outfit ALL from Forever 21: (click on each photo)

Or you can just take any floral skirt and solid blazer with a plain tee as well. This is such an easy and comfortable outfit to wear on the weekends. Plus if I get hot, I can take the blazer off and just wear a the plain tee.
Are you into the floral print?

  1. And this outfit (ideally) tend to illustrate a certain (and so efficient) "Cheap BUT (Urban) CHIC" idea Dear !!!! "Micro Pin up-icious Exquisiteness in motion" . . .

  2. this is great! i like how the skirt flares out a bit from the fitted blazer. lovely and thanks for recreating it for us!

  3. I can wear your "casual" outfit to work and call it semi-formal for sure (as you may be able to figure out, my workplace is super duper casual). I love the skirt and the prices of everything.

  4. I'm definitely into floral prints, especially for the warmer seasons! I know what you meant with the sheer-ness of the skirt. That's the only thing that's keeping me away from purchasing it. But I love the prints and the length is quite modest yet flirty 🙂

I gotta say, that blazer is a total score!! 😀

  5. Annie, you are the picture-perfect definition of "beautiful," and these pictures prove the point. The skirt and blazer go beautifully together, and a chic Chanel bag doesn't hurt either. 🙂 I have no problem with these sandals with this outfit. You're certainly a petite princess who rules like a queen with style.

And yes- I dig the floral prints.

  6. So freakin cute Annie! I love this outfit! I just got an Old Navy outfit for under $50 – I'll have to post about it sometime 🙂

Thank you for the inspiration — now I am off to check out H&M for that awesome skirt/blazer combo!

  7. Have you checked out any of the sandals options on emyloo shoes? I got some recently and really like mine.

The skirt link you gave seems to be a different skirt than the one you are wearing. Is that right? I'm not sure about the length of the other one; it looks a little short (although it might not be on me).

  8. lovely outfit! At most places i've worked at, this outfit would be more than ok to wear. lol sometimes I dress a bit more business-like and ppl look at me weird @ work, sigh…American workplaces are too casual!

  9. I love floral print! You look amazing in that outfit. I love the flowy skirt with the blazer. That would def. be a good work outfit as well if the environment is casual. Cute cute outfit!

  10. I've gotten into florals in the last year or so…that skirt is great! I love stuff like that now…it's unique and it hits you at just the right spot above the knee. I wonder if it comes in orange or yellow =D

I also like how you accessorized this outfit, very cute!

  11. LOL @ stomping around like a little kid, hahaha. Too cute, Annie 🙂 This outfit is great — casual but still yet put together. So you!

  12. So cute!! I love floral print and also love that you're exploring casual clothes – gives me more shopping inspiration 🙂

The image of you stomping your foot made me giggle LOL.

  13. Love it! Primarly because I own the skirt in blue and the blazer in white with blue stripes! 😉 love how you put them together. See? I told you we should shop together 🙂

  14. The skirt is really cute! Love how you paired it with the blazer 🙂 I love the dresses and skirts at H&M and how affordable they are, but I hate how sheer everything is. They could at least line the insides of all the skirts and dresses :/

  15. Link exchange is nothing else but it is just placing the other person’s weblog link
on your page at suitable place and other person will also do
    same for you.

  16. I used to be recommended this blog by means of my cousin. I
am not sure whether this put up is written by him as nobody else recognise such specific approximately my problem.
    You are amazing! Thank you!

  17. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and
was curious what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having
a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not
100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

  18. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but
I find this topic to be really something which I think
I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

  19. Does your site have a contact page? I’m having problems locating it but, I’d like

interested in hearing. Either way, great website and I look forward to seeing
    it grow over time.
