As promised in my last post, here are the other items I scored on Easter at the outlet stores. Here is the Banana Republic navy blue boatneck sweater and Banana Republic tweed skirt.
I just love the fit and feel of this sweater! It’s a very light material which I love because I can wear it in all seasons and wear it with jeans. The sleeves are so cute with a cuff at the end. I wish there were more in my size in different colors but a PXS was hard to find that was blemish free (common at the outlet stores). There were striped ones in different colors but I passed because I like solid colors and they are easier to match. The picture really makes it look strange- I promise it looks much cuter in person 🙂
The Banana Republic tweed skirt had a matching short sleeve tweed blazer but it didn’t look right when I tried it on. So I ultimately passed which was pretty hard to do! The waist as I mentioned in my last post is a bit big for me but I think I can get away with it. Come to think of it- it’s much bigger on me today- strange. This is a 00p and the fit is not like of that in a normal BR store. So be careful!!! I had to examine all my finds very carefully because if you are rushed, you will end up with defective items (snags, rips, loose threads, stains). I probably shouldn’t be wearing tweed in this season but heck- why not:) This is a possible return? Good thing I didn’t go crazy and buy the entire suit which would have been a disaster.

So that’s all my outlet finds! Not much but you have to be selective at the outlet stores because just because it says Banana Republic or Ann Taylor does not mean that it’s the same quality or the same fit! If you can keep up w/the chaos and crowds of people, you may get lucky and find some good deals. Let me know what you think about this outfit!
