November Must Haves & My 7 Confessions

So in the spirit of all this shopping madness for Black Friday, I thought I would share some of the things I have been eyeing in case anyone wants to check them out this weekend!
Mustard Cashmere Bolero/Shrug (comes in XS Juniors)
I was shocked when I saw what brand this is! I would love to try this on in-store and see the quality of the cashmere. Not a bad price for a cashmere shrug! Comes in pink, mustard and a gorgeous heather grey! I am thinking because this is a Junior’s sizing, it will be perfect for petites! I want it!!! If anyone sees this in-store, can you please tweet me?  I may even like it better than my Aqua Cashmere from Bloomies (which I will be doing a post on the adult version grey cashmere soon)!
I tried a sz 6 in-store and it was so adorable! They do not carry size 5’s in-store but they have some left online. I am waiting to use my 40% coupon! I have never bought shoes from BR so I have no experience but with that being said, I have bought hubby several pairs from here and they are very high quality (at least for men). If anyone has shoes from here- please share your thoughts!

Ruffle Dress Shirt– 00p (on sale)
I actually just bought this the other day on sale for about $17 in-store. I’m going to try to shrink it in the dryer and see if it will better the fit. Even the 00p is a bit wide for me but it’s really cute and I think I can make it work.

I don’t own any belts from FP but since I am loving belts this season, had to include this! Anyone have experience with their belt sizing? I am so into belts and scarfs lately so had to add this to my list!!
I am waiting for this to go on sale- I think it’s so cute pinned on a blazer or sweater! And the safari green color is so gorgeous!!!
I am obsessed with scarfs! Especially LOFT scarfs! They are so pretty and just adds some life into my wardrobe!!

I was tagged by Kileen at CuteandLittle. So here goes!

1. I can eat like 4 grown men. Yes it’s true! I can out eat pretty much anyone. I love food! My husband is amazed at how much I can chow down. It truly is amazing how big my appetite is! Good thing I get my  metabolism from my parents otherwise I would be 400 lbs.
2. I am a Midwest girl.  I am originally from the Midwest (but born in Vietnam) and moved to CA straight out of college because I could not stand the winters or cold any longer. My hubby is also from the Midwest (thank goodness for that). He’s a good ‘ole Midwest boy:) We moved out here together. The Midwest has amazing people. When I go back home, I see how different Californian’s are.
3. I hate meat. But am not necessarily a vegetarian. I don’t eat beef at all- no burgers- anything with beef and hate the whole concept of meat but will occasionally eat Turkey and rarely chicken/pork. But I do love lobster/crab  and fish! Anything that is from the sea.
4. I am allergic to everything.  I have severe allergies to cats, dogs, any furry pets. Almost to the point of death! I also am allergic to most perfumes, colognes or anything with a strong scent. My poor husband is only allowed 2 specific colognes otherwise I can’t be around him.  And of course I have seasonal allergies but they have been contained since moving to CA. I also am allergic to mushrooms, purple onions, and some canned fish. Yep- I am no fun! LOL
5. I have a degree in Broadcast Journalism. I really wanted to be a TV personality/entertainment anchor BUT after working for a MAJOR national network in Hollywood and seeing the “ins” and “outs” of how the TV Industry works and what it takes to climb the ladder (*ahem..if you catch my drift*), I said I’ll pass and started my own business instead- best decision I ever made.
6. I don’t like chocolate. I know everyone thinks I am crazy. I would rather have fruit or potato chips! My parents used to trick me and say if I was good, my reward would be fruit. I guess I’ve never outgrown that:)
7. I used to have blonde hair. It has been only about 2 years that I have had my natural dark brown/black hair. I have always have had light hair and at one point- blonde! It’s taken me a long time to get used to my dark hair but hubby loves it and I am finally accepting it. I may do a post and show everyone all the shades of blonde, carmel, red, brown hair do’s I have had. I do sometimes miss my carmel hair.

I hope you enjoyed my confessions! I know I am supposed to tag others but it seems as if everyone has been tagged so I don’t want to duplicate tag people. So hope that’s okay:)

That’s all from me! Have a Happy Thanksgiving Weekend and can’t wait to see what everyone gets!!

  2. That shrug is SO cute! Stuff from Charlotte Russe RARELY fits me… I think I have a long tunic shirt and one shirt. Love the boots, too!

As for your confessions, I don't like chocolate either! In fact, there is peppermint bark on my table and I'm opting for pomegranate arils instead, YUM and hooray for fruit! 🙂

  3. I can totally relate to not liking chocolate. It's not that I dislike chocolate, I just refuse to eat it. I broke out when I was 9 after a Halloween of eating various chocolates. I'm now 24 and I haven't (knowingly) eaten any since then!

  4. oh i have that belt from FP. it fits well.
i love your 7 confessions. my bf is from the midwest too and im going home with him to visit his family this xmas. it will be my first time there! id love to see your different hair colors!!! i also love everything you don't like. i definitely eat like a boy. i love burgers, steak, hot dogs…you name it!

  5. @Ping I knew you would know about this FP belt! It fits? YAY! I love it!!! That's awesome that your BF is from the Midwest!! I can't wait to hear about your trip and see if you notice any differences in how nice people are back there 🙂

  6. @Ping I knew you would know about this FP belt! It fits? YAY! I love it!!! That's awesome that your BF is from the Midwest!! I can't wait to hear about your trip and see if you notice any differences in how nice people are back there 🙂

  7. Blonde hair? Were there a lot of Asian immigrants in your area? At my school, lots of the Asian students (particularly newcomer fashionista types) bleached their hair back in the 90s.

BTW, I'd LOVE to do a 7 Confessions too, but I haven't been tagged yet (I don't think)

  8. I am loving these "confessions" – I am also a fellow non big meat eater (just nuggets and meatballs for me). It's so interesting to learn more about fellow bloggers. 🙂

  9. Enjoy reading all your confessions. I can't imagine how terrible it would be to be allergic to so many things. I was perfectly fine until my daughter was born. I often suffer from seasonal allergies and it sucks. I definitely want to see your pics with blonde hair.

  10. I have fast metabolism too… or rather, I used to 🙁 It's slowed down as I've gotten older and I'm so bummed!! It's such a great feeling to out-eat everyone at the table lol. I knew there was a reason you're such a natural in your YouTube videos!

  11. Too funny about the chocolate, as I was reading that my husband just fed me a bite of chocolate!

I would love to see all your hair colors!

I love those BR boots!! I will not be braving the shopping on Friday, never have. I am interested in internet deals, though! 🙂

  12. i loved reading your confessions! you ARE lucky to have that metabolism. that's really cool that you worked in hollywood for a bit. high five for being a midwest girl! 🙂

  13. OMg I loove the facts about you! I wanna do this tag! I don't eat meat either. Sometimes I eat small amounts of turkey and chicken, but NEVER red meat and or pork–I just don't like the taste.
Btw, if you get the Free People belt, I can't wait to see it! 🙂 I can't wait to see your HAIR post!!! 🙂

  14. Thanks for sharing your confessions with us. Nelah tagged me too but I couldn't find time to write about my "serious" stuff 🙂 I am very interested in seeing you with blonde hair. Happy Black Friday shopping. Don't forget to share the deals

  15. OMG I used to eat like crazy and not gain a pound but not anymore 🙁 Now I really have to watch what I eat because I see the effects right away yikes! You're so small and I envy you haha!

and i don't like chocolate too. I would only eat chocolate if its a choc cake or choc chip cookies from mrs. fields! wait..then I guess I kind'a like chocolate lol

and hey more meat for us right? jk

by the way Ann Taylor will have 40% off everything on black Friday so you might want to hit them up too 🙂

  16. Very interesting to know all these about you. I wonder where you put all the food in your tiny little frame. 🙂 And, don't like chocolate? You are my HERO!

  17. I love the shrug! I'm going to have to check out my local CR for when it becomes available and try it on.

I used to be able to eat and not gain weight at all. Alas, that is not so anymore. At first I was thrilled because it meant that I could fit clothes more normally but now that there are more options out there for really petite women, I'm not so happy.

    Thanks for this interesting post.

    *Kat*

  18. I don't like chocolate either, but I'll still eat it.

There is a huge difference btw midwest ppl and california ppl, but I think CA is more fun!

hahaha, I think I catch your drift about climbing the ladder. Typical Hollywood. but that's so ambitious that you started your own business and have survived the rough economy.

    Have a great Thanksgiving!

  19. I love the shrug and boots. I do have way too many boots tho from Sample Sales so I have to back off.

My hubby is still awed at how much I can eat for a small person. Metabolism slows down with age so I have to keep running for exercise. When I was pregnant with my daughter, the smell of cooking meat was nauseating. Probably why I'm now a pescetarian like you.
