Petite Review: LiTiNi- The Little Sock That Fits

Do you have tiny feet? Are you guilty of buying socks from the little girls or how about the boy’s department? If you are, you are just like me!  I stopped buying adult socks years ago after being fed up with socks that were always too big (as a reference, I am a small size 5 feet). I either had bunching at the heel, the toe box was always too wide, or there was always too much access material and it just never fit right- like a sock should fit! I started buying girl socks and then drifted into the boy’s section because they were less frilly and seemed to be a little more plush. Finally a company that specializes in petite socks for petite feet! Litini is the name of the company and they sent me some samples to try and review for all you petite ladies out there.

Litini is a mother and daughter company that come from a family of petite women, small feet and little hands…sounds familiar!! They too were frustrated with retail shopping and along came the idea to produce socks that fit small feet properly. Genius!

See? No bunching in the heel and it fits perfectly.

MATERIAL:
Litini’s performance socks are partially made with Ingeo PLA which is a man-made fiber derived from renewable resources such as corn. It keeps your feet fresh and dry and good for the earth- how great is that? All the socks are super soft and seem very durable.

QUALITY:
From what I can see, the quality is much better than most sock brands and definitely better than the kids socks I buy. I have yet to wash them and wear them to see if they ball up quickly or not. I have a thing about stitching and things lining up and the stitching was flawless. Every sock was very well made.

This picture is to compare the Litini Allie sock (my favorite pair) compared to one of the smallest women’s socks (grey snowflake) I own. Do you see the difference? Amazing how large the women’s sock is compared to the Litini sock!

FIT:
The fit on each and every sock fit like a glove! The way a sock is supposed to fit! I was shocked and my feet were super happy! There are no sizes which I was surprised about but if they fit me, hopefully they will fit someone will smaller feet. Each sock was stretchy so that may help someone with slightly smaller feet.  My only suggestion is possibly having size choices in case there are women with extra tiny feet below a size 4.

Here is to show you the Litini Allie sock compared to one of my boy’s department socks (grey pair) . It’s even smaller than the boys which is perfect because the boy’s socks were slightly a bit too big/wide in the toe bed which results in extra material when put in a shoe.

This is to show you the difference between one of my girls socks (purple striped) compared to Allie athletic sock. Similar in size but the quality and material is totally different. Girls socks tend to be very thin and not such great material. Not sure why that is but I found that in most of my girls socks that I purchased. And the toe bed of girl’s socks are always slightly too narrow for my feet- ending in the result of squished toes- never good!
SELECTION:
LiTiNi offers a 3 styles of athletic socks and 2 styles of casual socks. I do wish they had more styles and colors to choose from but I am sure that is in the works! My suggestion is to carry a 3 pack or 6 pack of some of their styles for people like me who like to buy socks in bulk.

  1. What size are your feet?
Im a 5.5-6 and regular socks are always long on me. Would LiTiNi's be too small for me?

  2. What a cute store/concept…I wear a 6.5/7 so I have average feet so I never had trouble finding socks that fit. But what a blessing this company is to you women with small feet. 🙂

  3. hm…this is very educational. When I was in Hawaii, i forgot my socks at home (wool socks that I shrink). So I had to stop by walmart and buy socks, but forgot to go to the girl's dept, so the women's were wayyyyy too big, and actually give me blisters b/c it kept sliding around and eventually 1/2 way off my feet, causing my shoes to rub against my bare feet the whole time. sigh.

This is a very interesting concept. I might actually have to try this out. How long does the promo last until?

I do have extremely small feet-sz 3.5-so I hope these will fit.

  4. Thanks for the recommendation! I too buy socks from the boys' department (they're cheaper!) though I've never truly had trouble with socks. (I wear a women's size 6). My feet are also wide for their length, so they fill out most smaller socks. These are a great alternative, though.

  5. Do you ladies have any suggestions on petite gloves? I live in the Northeast and can't for the life of me find nice gloves that fit, preferably in leather or a nice wool or cashmere. I've tried girl's, but I can't find any in black or brown.

    Thanks!

  6. @AubreyOhDang! So glad you thought this was educational! I was so jazzed to find this company! And you are a 3.5? Tiny tiny!! I def think these will fit you, you HAVE to give them a try!!!

Not sure how long the promo will last but I would order before it ends:)

  7. @Em You buy from the boys? Me too! But I find that the boys toe box is much wider than girls and the girls toe box is too small for me…so these are PERFECTLY in-between!

  8. Great review! This is very interesting concept. Just like Elle, I wear 6.5 in shoes so finding socks was never a problem for me. I will let my sister know. She wears size 5 just like you.

  9. Thank you so much for this post! I'm so happy to find that I can get socks that will finally fit me correctly. I'll definitely be checking out their site.

Happy New Year to you. I hope that 2011 will be a happy and prosperous one for you and your family.

  10. If I had small feet, I would definitely check this out! Alas, I have the weird combo of little hands and giant boat feet 😛

Glad you found this company and their great products!

  11. The print of these socks are sooo cute. I'm always on the lookout for cute and colorful knee-high socks, so I'll be sure to check them out!

  12. Interesting, petite socks, I never would've thought. I haven't had trouble finding socks but those non-socks to wear with flats…I can't seem to find any that are completely hidden when I wear flats, they always peek out and I hate that! If Litini made those…I'd buy that! =)

  13. What a neat idea! The basically only wear athletic socks but have a few other fun ones like long argyle. A few years ago, my Mom mailed me a set of Adidas no-show socks. I am OBSESSED with them! I have a size 5 foot and they fit perfectly (they are probably a women's small). They have this extra elastic "band"/ring around the very middle of the foot which makes them really tight and comfortable. It was weird to get used to at first but now I love that feature! 🙂

  14. I just want you to know, when I clicked on the link for Litini it brought me to a porn site!! Be careful about your link urls!!!

  15. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more
than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all.
But think about if you added some great pictures or video
clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips,
