Tory Burch Reva “Coconut” Stingray Leather Flats- Take 2

So last April, I bought my first pair of Tory Burch Reva flats– see my post/review here. It’s amazing how terrible my reviews were when I first started blogging..hehehe I ended up returning them because I just couldn’t justify me keeping and wearing flats that were so expensive. I’ve always regretted not keeping them. Luckily I found them on sale in a size 5 online and with the help of my lovely Twitter friends, I pulled the trigger and ordered them! And they are a tiny bit cheaper this time around with no tax and free shipping!

I wanted to show you what the Tory Burch Reva flats look like with a dress. I am wearing Forever 21’s slinky knit dress in olive and in size small- only $14.50. I added the LOFT pin for some dimension.

Here is a sideview of them with my GAP legging jeans (in 00p) to show you how it looks with jeans.

I was a bit nervous ordering from Jildor– never bought anything from them so not sure if they were reputable or not. But when I got them, they were in perfect and brand new condition. *Whew*

Here is a close-up of the color “coconut” stingray leather. I just love it! It’s neutral so I can wear pretty much anything and everything with it.

I won’t do a review since that would be redundant but wanted to show you what they look like. It’s so weird for me to be in flats, I still need to get used to them. I haven’t worn them shopping for a full day yet but hope they will be comfortable.

Can anyone tell me if how comfy they are and if they hurt your feet at all? Will the back of the heel stretch out? I am really worried about that…

  1. Great color! Jildor is very reputable. They have great shoes, great sales (which are infrequent) but never any codes, unfortunately. I had my revas for maybe three weeks and as much as I loved them, they squished the joint on the outside of my foot too much–and i have narrow feet! I really didn't understand that problem. I thought I could stretch them out, I wore them day after day until I couldn't wear them anymore because I was in so much pain. They never did stretch out and I returned them to Nordies. =( The elastic never stretched out though. I hope you have better luck with them!

  2. I'm glad you rebought the Revas. They really do look great on you in skirts, dresses, and skinny jeans! I have no advice on the fit but have heard from Lanvin ladies who have pierced the back elastic with a needle to loosen up the tightness. I'm not sure if this can be done with the Revas. Perhaps take it to a cobbler and see what they can do about it? I hope you end up keeping these because they're a great neutral!

  3. I was going to say the same thing as Cher about the elastic not stretching out. after a few hours of wear they will hurt. I suppose putting a bandage there will ease the pain, but I'm sure you don't want to hassle with that. If you're going to stick to the Revas, I suggest going up half a size or buy a different style, one without the elastic in the back.

  4. I am so surprised that the F21 dress fits so well in a small! And the length on you is short enough, too! And the jeans! Awesome!

Grr! Don't tempt me with more purchases!

As for the flats…I love the style you chose! Gorgeous!!

My reva flats have caused discomfort in the past. I make sure to wear them on work days when I will not be moving around too much…although, I am usually up and around. :/ So they rarely get worn for work!

I usually save them for dinners out, since very little walking is involved. They also work okay for shopping trips…but my shopping trips do not go past two hours.

  5. very cute shoes! but i will say, my tory burch reva flats KILL my feet! ouch! i guess it hurts to be trendy, ha!

  6. oh and i made the mistake of going up half a size. all that did was push my feet towards the front, giving me a huge gap in the back. not cute or comfy.

  7. Love your outfits!! The Tory Burch Reva flats are so cute but they didn't work for me. One of my toes rubbed painfully underneath the logo and back dug into my heel after walking only 2 blocks. I had to give mine away to my mom who has half size smaller feet! I hope they work better for you!

  8. I LOVE the flats! I am on my feet way too many hours of the day (12-14+) to wear heels, so I'm always on the lookout for cute and comfy flats. Love all the outfits, too, especially the F21 dress. You are so beautiful!

  9. Almost every review that I read about the TB reva flats said they're not very comfortable. They do look adorable on you. I really like the neutral color. They sure will go with everything. I hope they'll work out for you.

  10. I'm totally jealous that you look so great in flats AND heels 😉 The color is absolutely gorgeous! I've heard a mixture of comfort reviews on Revas so I'd be interested in what you find out.

  11. I love all the looks with the flats. I'm petite, as well, and I like your blog already! So much to see here. I also love your wedding photos! I'm definitely following your blog!

  12. You look cute and casual in those flats. Love the outfits you paired them with.

I just saw your wedding photos in a below post, absolutely stunning!!

  13. Hi, I'm new to your blog and found it via the Loft's Facebook news feed today. I am so glad I found this blog!!! I am a petite professional as well, and I really love your style. It is a lot like my own, and I am looking forward to vising here often to be inspired and informed!

  14. When owning a pair of Revas, you must tell yourself that it is only for looks, not comfort. So once you can get past that, then you can fully accept them for what they are – designer flats not designed for comfort.

My roommates owns the black & gold hardware. She says they're fine. Looks like you'll just have to try them out and do another review in a couple of months for us.

  15. These flats look really great on you, Annie. I can't wear flats, my legs are permanently "high heeled". Notice how I use "high heel" as a verb? Yes, that's true, after wearing years and years of high heel, the back muscle of my legs are shortened, so now I get hurt when I wear flats. lol. 🙂 The flats look very nice, I hope it's also comfy.

  16. i love this color and think it'll be perfect to pair with every outfit! i'm glad you ended up buying them again. i have heard that these flats can be painful, but if you stuff them with paper they'll stretch out a bit and be ok. hopefully they will work out for you and you'll end up keeping them this time!

oh, and i love your poses too at the end. so cute! 🙂

    cute and little

  17. @VickyOMG Vicky! I think that's what I probably have!!! Maybe that's why I never wear flats…LOL I guess we will find out soon enough huh? I had no idea this was even possible!

  18. Congratulations on re-finding the Reva flats. They look awesome on you. All your outfits with them look very nice. I hope they are super comfy for you now. I just started buying the Reva flats and I don't find them that comfy right out of the box. They are better once they are broken in. My black patent ones took 2 months to break-in and my royal tan tumbled leather took days. Crazy! These are my latest pair, peacock blue http://www.flickr.com/photos/39715038@N00/6771870037/in/photostream

  19. I think you look GORGEOUS on your feet and anyone would fall for you simply because of them.
