This is my first Petite Fashion Challenge and I am really excited! I missed the other 4 due to work schedule or I just couldn’t figure out what to put together. This challenge is being hosted by Cynthia from Shorty Stories.
Create a sophisticated work appropriate look that has no more than one dark piece (it can be a skirt, pants, a blazer, sweater etc…) excluding shoes, accessories and hosiery.
This was hard for me because I have a lot of work appropriate clothes but not in bright colors. I love neutral colors, earth tones, greys and of course pink! So here is what I came up with. One of my all time favorite dresses is this coral Cache dress:
Dress: Cache Coral Dress- size P (petite) (similar here)
Sweater: J.Crew Merino Cielo Cardi- size XXS (buy here)
Shoes: Cole Haan Suede Pumps in grey- size 5 (buy here)
Necklace: LOFT (outlet) Pearl and Ribbon (similar here)
Ring: Forever 21 Antique Filagree in coral- size 6 (buy here)
My only dark piece is my J.Crew cardigan. How did I do? This is a very typical work outfit for me, dress with cardigan and belt…I know I am boring but it’s what I like:) In case you are curious, the Cache dress is super duper old. It literally sat in my closet for years w/out me ever wearing it until I started blogging and found it. I couldn’t believe how well it fit and how petite friendly it was. I haven’t been back to Cache in years. I have another formal dress from there which is super pretty and also very petite friendly.

coral looks great on you and it's such a great color to brighten up for wintertime! i actually haven't shopped at Cache in years as the one in my mall closed, but i will have to make it a point to stop in the store now when i'm at other malls!

Love the coral dress 🙂 It looks really versatile, too. You can just exchange the cardigan for a wrap and you're good to go for a night out.

You did great with your first challenge. The coral color goes with the black cardigan. I am surprised that the Cache dress fits you. I don't think I own anything from them. Everything runs pretty big most of the time. Great job!

Yay for your first PFC! I really like your color choices, navy blue and pink are gorgeous together! The gray tones are a great addition to the outfit and it's not overpowering and just the right color to balance out the rest. A job well done!

Every time I walk by Cache, I can't help myself looking at their displays, they seem to have nice looking clothes but I have no idea on their sizing.
