ANNTAYLORDRESS1I honestly didn’t think I could pull of green shoes but I think these are fun! I’ve been really into blues and greens lately so this is a great addition to my shoe collection.

I added this coral belt to break up the all white dress. This tulle and flower dress is very dressy by itself so I wanted to pair it with a little bit of color and a blazer to tone it down. If you are looking to recreate this look, it’s super easy! Here are some of my suggestions:

Dress:
Ann Taylor tulle and flower dress (what I am wearing)
French Connection sleeveless dress
Jacquard version

Blazer:
Navy short sleeved blazer
Double weave Jacket
Studio stretch navy blazer (00 avail)

Belt:
Whipsnake belt in georgia peach (the one I am wearing)
Coral BDG belt
Orange plated boyfriend belt (under $9)

Shoes:
Designer green slingbacks (to die for)
BCBGirls patent slingbacks

This dress worn alone looks a bit strange on me. It’s a bit baggy in the back near the waist and butt area. I couldn’t really capture a decent picture w/out the blazer…

As you can tell, I am trying really hard to play around with colors for Summer. It’s very uncomfortable for me but I’m finding it sort of fun! It brings out the playful side of me:)

  1. The green shoes are a lovely colorful addition to the outfit. I'm in love with that navy blazer!! Ive been on the search for one for months now! Hopefully the TX H&M will have it when it opens in August. πŸ™‚

  2. I love this look! The green shoes work very nicely with the taupe of the Chanel and the white of the dress. They're not even too green – soft of sea-green, which is beautiful!

  3. I love all the fun colors you put together in this outfit, Annie. It is fun, fresh and cheerful…just like Spring time.
Okay I admit I tried not to look at that gorgeous bag but couldn't fight the temptation!!!

  4. This is one of my favorite looks on you ever! I've seen that dress in person, its truly gorgeous! Great pops of color πŸ™‚

  5. Annie, your shoes and my pants need to meet! LOVE the look you pulled together. Beautiful. I'm secretly happy that I ended up buying the white dress back, because it looks so pretty on you.

  6. I am loving these shoes!! Of course, the dress is so pretty!

Loving your nails with the belt! πŸ™‚ I picked up that same belt back in May/June…love it!!

  7. cute outfit! i actually like your yellow ones better, maybe cuz i'm addicted to yellow shoes hahaha πŸ™‚ i really like that navy blazer! i got one at pitaya that i haven't styled yet.

  8. The green shoes were quite unexpected with this outfit. I think this shade is a great complement to the blue and coral that you're wearing. Great outfit, Annie!

  9. Colour is what summer's about, right?

The length of my parent's garage from floor to about neck height is where my mom stores her shoes. Seriously, that many! I know, I know…Imelda lives here, right? The apple doesn't fall too far as I'm running out of room too…(in my closet, not the garage…yet).

  10. Love the outfit with the pops of color (belt and green shoes!) Big fan of your blog! πŸ™‚

I was wondering if you'd list what makeup you use on an everyday basis, especially which lip colors. I'm a tanned Asian (I think similar to your skin tone) and am having trouble finding lip colors to match my skin tone. Thanks!

  11. I think you look fabulous and you yourself look happy and comfortable in those colors. And that's the main thing.

I like the way you matched your ring to the color of your shoes.

A very interesting blog. Good job.
