Ann Taylor Floating Estuary Jersey Print Dress for $5

Necklace: Ann Taylor – (similar here)
Blazer: Theory – size 00 (similar here or affordable version)
Can you believe I got this dress for $5? It was $49.99 plus 50% off = $24.99 and I had a $20 rewards card.  I also got the perfect lizard belt on sale for $15. The vachetta color (dark tan) is not online but color code is CL211.  Normally this would be too busy of a print for me but the XXSP was hanging on the rack yelling at me to buy it.  It’s a jersey type of material so it’s super comfortable.

It’s much more form fitting than I typically prefer but I really can’t complain. These are the debut of the perfect exotic pump in pumice stone. They are of course too big but I added some shoe padding and it’s do-able. They are extremely comfortable and really soft. Anyone with a true size 5’s should really consider these.

To tone down this busy print and cover up, I added my Theory khaki blazer and some nude pumps and I can wear it to work. Some other jersey wrap dresses that are work appropriate is this blue wrap jersey knit and this unique print dress.

Do you think this dress is worth it for $5 and is it too busy?

  1. i think this dress is absolutely beautiful on you!! i don't think it's quite an ikat print like i was originally thinking from your tweet, but i like it more this way!! i actually shy away from prints and patterns, but this looks really gorgeous on you and with the blazer it's a very do-able work look. great find, Annie!

and i totally need to get my hands on those AT pumps! 🙂

    cute & little

  2. nice annie. something different that nobody has posted yet. I had considered this dress, but I bought a similar dress from AT w/the side ruching already. I think you and Mr. RP need to set up a date night so you can wear this number.

($5? I'd totally keep, but you have to be true to yourself…are you comfortable in it and will you wear it?)

  3. Totally worth it! I think the neutrals tone it down so it's not too busy at all. Blue is a great shade on you!

  4. Yay!! Great deal!! You look great! I am also scared of crazy patterns, but you pull this off nicely. I think the fact that it is more form fitting helps!

I love the crossing paths print dress. My mother-in-law bought that and now I want it so bad! It is just like Jean's skirt.

  5. Oh my goodness – this dress is a perfect fit! You should start getting used to this closer fit because you look amazing in this cut and style. I wonder, what did your husband say? 😉

  6. @AubreyOhDang! Hahaha thanks Aubs! It's hard to find things and blog about it before anyone else does these days! And I love side ruching- it really accentuates the curves. And Mr. RP LOVES this dress on me…LOL def a date night w/out the blazer…:D

And I think I will keep it and wear it…I can always cover up with a cardi too if I feel too self-conscious:)

  7. @Anna Awe..Anna! Thanks girl! You are a doll. And LOL- hubby LOVES this dress on me! He likes anything that is fitted since I normally don't wear tight clothing…LOL
