Can you believe I am color blocking again? It’s still very new to me but I am loving it! I love these shades together. I think they compliment each other so well.Be sure to check out Kileen’s color brigade for more color blocking inspiration. This H & M top is a million years old (okay several years ago). I believe it was my very first H & M purchase ever! I never wear it because it’s quite low cut but I do love the cute neck tie and bright color.
I was really drawn to this purse when it first came out online and as soon as it went on sale, I snatched it up! See it on Vicky here. If you are looking to re-create this look, it’s super simple! Just find any red blouse or top and a pink pencil skirt or pleated skirt and a bright red bag and you are set!

Have you tried red and pink together?
P.S. If anyone bought the talbot gemstone t-strap sandals in champagne size 5 and you don’t want them or returned them, can you please let me know!? I received mine and they are two different sizes (sz 5 and 7). I didn’t open the box completely until recently 🙁 Lesson learned!

  1. So, you know I have a pink pencil skirt and when I first wore it I wanted to wear it with a red top only to discover that I did not own a red top! Can you believe that? So, I ended up pairing it with an orange top instead (see my post here: http://bit.ly/phDL9M), which I ended up loving but it was pretty horrific to discover I don't own anything in red! I'm now on the hunt!

  2. I have never tried pink and red together but I truly love it on you! I am so in love with the pink skirt and red handbag!!

  3. the ultra girly colours look great together! never thought up this combo. see? you look amazing colorblocking 😀 the red top and bag are genius

  4. You and Vicky are making me nuts with that red bag! So pretty!

The only time that I have tried red and pink was when I was dressing up Midge (the red-headed Barbie doll) for a "fashion show". I thought it looked horrible then. But after seeing you and Elle do this, I am not totally turned off to the idea!

  5. I love red and pink together. You look gorgeous! The nude accessories are the perfect touch too. I love this!

  6. Lovely combo once again, your red bag is lovely. I tried pink and red combo last year and sure it is not a common color combination, fairly unique.

  7. I LOVE to color block! lol I have not tried the pink and red together but I am waiting on a red (ish) skirt and baby pink top so now I can't wait to get them ^^

I think I will try it. This combo is very romantic =D

  8. I'm glad you didn't end up wearing red or pink shoes 😉 That would've been too matchy-matchy I think. As is, great feminine and color-blocked look!

  9. I agree with Cee, I like how you went with the nude belt and heels to enhance the color blocking! That purse is a gorgeous shade of red. I almost pulled the trigger on it, but I think I'm going to wait for the JCrew Edie Purse that Kelly has to go on super sale.

  10. I have never ever seen you in red, Annie! Wow! You look amazing in this bold color. I'm loving the AT lady bag as well. Did you notice that the lining is suede? So unique, isn't it?

  11. Oh Annie….that totally sucks about your shoes! What a dissapointment 🙁 I love your red/pink combo though!! Haven't tried it yet myeslf but I'll get around to it 😉

  12. You look so pretty in the red pink combo. I saw the red bag at AT store. It's a small bag to me, however looks so big in your picture. I know how petite you are now. 🙂

  13. you look ahh mazing! i just love the red and pink..although I have not try that combo yet..I prob will though since it's gorgeous on you!

  14. Yes, and I like it a lot! The first time I tried it, it was years ago (almost 20) and a great boldness. I keep on doing it and I keep on liking it. Great look!
