Here is a close-up of my new vintage thrifted necklace! I love it! I’ve already worn it twice this week…is that wrong?
HMnavycollageI hope you are not sick of all my H & M posts lately but I am loving all their new items! One of my goals this year was not to buy duplicates of the same items in different colors but this jacket I couldn’t resist. Plus I have been loving and wearing a LOT of navy and shades of blues lately so I knew it would get a lot of wear.  I literally almost had a heart attack when I spotted the blue one and there was a size 2 hanging there.

I realized that all my posts are always with skirts and dresses. I hope you don’t get sick of my outfits. I will try to incorporate pants/jeans more but I like to stay true to myself and post outfits that I really do wear. I got an interesting email the other day asking if I in fact wear the outfits that I post and the answer is absolutely yes! I see some crazy and outrageous outfits on some blogs and wonder the same thing. All my purchases and outfits are really what I wear in real life (to work) and on a day to day basis.

***The winner of Giveaway Part 1 is Michelle! Congrats! Please email me your info. If you didn’t win the bracelet, you can enter to win an Ann Taylor silk scarf HERE!***

  1. All of your outfits are very wearable in real life. Something that can be worn by every girl. I don't see why that person asked you such question. I have seen the beautiful abd super stylish outfits but not-so-practical to walk on the street on some blogs, your are in no way outrageous comparing to those.

  2. This is a great blazer! I just saw it at H&M yesterday along with the other fantastic Fall line they've started to launch! I picked up a few items as well and love this jacket in orange too…I may go back and get it if I am still thinking about it tmrw 🙂

  3. You look beautiful Annie, I love the mix of blue and green! (don't you just love some of the offerings from H&M?!!!) sigh……..;)

  4. I love your color combos lately! Your skin looks perfect btw, this is a fashion blog but would love to know what make-up you use. 🙂

  5. @Nelah Awe thanks Nelah! Yeah I don't think she meant any harm by it but I thought it was a bit strange..LOL I only blog about things I really do wear so people can take inspiration from it and wear it in their daily lives:)

  6. @Erica Hi Erica! Awe…thanks so much! My skin is so far from perfect! It's all photo editing! LOL I have had a lot of requests on what makeup I use so maybe if I muster up the courage – I will do a post:) I know nothing about makeup so I am sort of scared!

  7. You say that this jacket is available in orange? I'm all over it!

I LOVE the color palette you used for this look – I'd say it's color blocking at its finest. The touch of yellow was just right.

  8. I LOVE that jacket! I don't like long-sleeved clothing but I really like 3/4 sleeve, which is especially difficult to find in jackets.

  9. Love the color combo here!
Hahaha.. I dont blame that someone for asking you if you dress like this normally 🙂 Its very hard to find people who are well put together. Normally you see people dressing for the sake of dressing and they just throw on what they can lay their hands on!

  10. oh i sure do hope my H&M that opens on Thurs will have these swing jackets! they're so absolutely love and perfect for petite frames!! i love how you styled it here and can't wait to see more of it in the future!

  11. I'm loving all the color mixings lately! The new necklace goes with your yellow shoes wonderfully.

Sometimes I wonder if I wear pants or shorts too much, but that's what I actually wear, so those are the pictures that go up on the blog. Don't worry too much and I'm glad you're staying true to yourself 🙂

  12. Congrats to Michelle for winning the bracelet. (Time to get a FB account, Michelle, so I can stalk you there. :))
I think your vintage necklace find is one of the best bargains in all I have seen. It "works with everything" and just add a bit of classy and sophistication to any outfit. Score, Annie!

  13. Yay!!! I just sent you an email! Lol! at Vicky's ocmment. :p

I love your recent color blocking posts! Giving me lots of ideas!!

  14. What an elegant look- and a fresh color scheme too! Would you style this blazer with pants, too? It has a cropped, boxy look that looks great with your pencil skirt, but I'm curious to see if it would work with pants as well.

  15. Annie – you've got to stop all these great ensembles because you're piquing my shopping bug!! LOL! Don't mind me – you have a true knack for this – the colors are so vibrant and so gorgeous on you! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  16. Congrats Michelle!

Annie: The jacket comes in blue AND navy? Sigh, my store doesn't even have the orange or the shirtwaist dress (just he boxy top).
