This is a typical Fall outfit for me. A wool skirt with sweater, boots and when it gets colder, I simply add tights. This is not only comfortable but one of my new favorite go-to outfits for the weekends. This is my new fave sweater! The colors is actually more of a muted mustard in person and not as bright as the photos.

I am loving my Banana Republic dancing bead necklace! It surprisingly goes with everything. I got it during the 40% off sale and even at that price was a bit expensive but I think worth it since I probably will be wearing it a lot! You can see it on Ping here.

I can’t get enough of my leopard calf hair skinny belt. I just got it on Friday and have already worn it.  I would highly recommend adding this to your belt collection- it’s so adorable. I can’t wait to get my matching leopard calf hair pumps too! I can finally check these two items off my wish list:)

This is why I love H & M. You can get an entire adorable outfit for under $30. Here is the breakdown:
Sweater: $12.95 with 25% off coupon $9.71
Skirt: $24.95 with 25% off coupon $18.71
Grand total = $28.42
How can you beat that? Add some cute accessories and you are set! I was ecstatic when I found a lonely size 2 camel skirt which I have been searching all over for. I love the dark camel color- exactly what I wanted.

I wanted to show you the fit of the back….the skirt fits perfectly on me. I love that it’s not a A-line cut.

Can you tell I am sick in these photos? Well, hopefully not but I have been sick for the past 2 weeks! Longest ever. I had a really bad case of sinusitis and the Doctor gave me too low of a dosage for my antibiotics and it took forever for me to feel better. I was starting to lose hope! Luckily, I finally am feeling good but still on antibiotics (higher dose). Never take your health for granted!

  1. beautiful pictures and a beautiful outfit, Annie! i can't tell that you're sick at all! this mustard sweater brings a gorgeous glow to your face and i'm so glad you found the camel mini you've been searching for. and i'm totally in love with these boots — such a lovely suede and the shaft fits you perfectly!

    cute & little

  2. You look GREAT! Love everything, so simple and a modern classic look. I much, much prefer this skirt on you than the previous Ann Taylor. The sweater is a great length and colour and the boots are perfect!

  3. Another pretty palette of an outfit! The boots look so cute on you. Is there a heel? Because I remember you trying to find a flat pair with no success 🙁 No worries, I'm sure there is going to be plenty to choose from once all the winter inventory rolls out.

  4. @Cee Thanks Cee! You made me realize I didn't have any pics of the heel! Yeah there is a 3" heel:) These are super old-from 2 years ago but I love them to death and are the only boots that actually fit (shaft and height wise). Still looking for a leather pair:)

  5. @kileen Awe thanks so much Kileen! I owe my pictures to you for helping me w/the settings and putting up with all my questions..LOL And yay for my camel mini! I love these boots too- they are old but still in great shape. The shaft on these are seriously perfect and have never found another pair like these:)

  6. I absolutely am in love with this outfit. I purchased a similar H&M skirt but mine is leather. You have given me ideas on how I can wear it. OMG your boots are PERFECT on you! You're sooo tiny compared to me! I love your style!

  7. I'm loving this skirt! It looks like the length in the back is good too. Sometimes I have the issue of minis looking shorter in the back, do you think the cut prevents this?

  8. I think I would've liked a pendant long necklace (pass the chest) instead of this delicate necklace, to go more w/the casual vibe. This necklace would be better off w/one of your other sheath dresses. IMO, a longer necklace would create more of a balance w/this cropped sweater, as well as keeping you leaner since the sweater is wide & boxy. Plays better w/proportions than a shorter statement necklace.

Also, consider the street style of this outfit. you're wearing a mini & boots. it's young. it's fun. Stay true to the style. Since the color is already eye catching, no need for a bold necklace to emphasize your face. Go for an arm party or statement watch to emphasize the rolled up sleeves. and while you're most likely to wear it on the weekend, consider that it's more relatable if your bag wasn't carried as a clutch, but as a crossbody bag, or just long to the side bc you're lazy & would rather just sling it across your shoulders.

Ultimately, I definitely believe you should post what you wear, exactly how you wore it. of course. but great styling is also about knowing the tone it is setting & the message it's conveying.

  9. Wow, that sweater is SO affordable! I've been hunting for the perfect mustard yellow item to add to my closet for fall, and just haven't managed to find something I really adore yet – but the price and fit of that sweater seem like a real bargain.

And you don't look sick at all – I love those colors on you!

  10. So cute! You make me want to break out some minis! I haven't really worn them in years though. I haven't found a place to wear them since I went off to school. I agree with Aubs, though. Maybe a pendant necklace would balance out the rest of the outfit a bit more.

  11. @AubreyOhDang! As always thanks for your suggestions Aubs! 🙂 I will def try a longer necklace…I only have a couple to choose from:) I tried the bag as a crossbody but it was SO not me..LOL

I wish I had some bracelets that fit to wear but nada in my jewelry collection. Hoping to add some soon!

  12. @JJ Thanks JJ! You really can't beat the price-not sure how long it will last before it pills up or falls apart but hopefully I can get several wears out of it 🙂

  13. @Cher Thanks Cher…I guess I was too excited to wear my BR necklace and thought it went really nicely with my outfit..LOL I will def try a longer necklace next time! 🙂

  14. @Megan Thanks Megan! I'm usually not a mini-skirt type but for a casual attire w/tights or boots for Fall/Winter is really comfy for me. H & M is rumored to be online next year! YAY!

  15. omg, you look beautiful! So happy you're feeling better. You're so right, u never realize how important your health is until it's compromised!!

  16. I got the same skirt in orange and camel. I am in love with them both! I also used the 25% off coupon to get a set of cute patent belts (mustard, camel and black) from H&M! I sure love sales…this 40% off clearance at LOFT is gonna get me…

  17. I love the mustard sweater so much that I had to come back and look at it again. I can't help drooling over this outfit. Mustard sweater and camel skirt – what can be a better combination. Thanks for posting!

  19. I went out and bought the mini today, you are such an enabler Annie! The skirt looks gorgeous on you and the mustard sweater is to die for.
