This is my first purchase from Club Monaco and I am really happy with it. I found this last month while visiting my family in the Midwest. I was shocked to see they carried 00’s and it fits fairly well. A bit loose in the waist but not too bad.  I usually don’t pay full price for a skirt like this but it’s one of those things that I just loved and had to have.

Right now, Club Monaco is having a sale- extra 30% off sale items plus free shipping.  It’s worth checking out. Their price point is much higher but the quality is really nice.  I’m not sure about their sizing because when I tried on a blazer and a blouse in-store and both were really big but this skirt fits nicely.  Some other items I am eyeing that aren’t on sale are:
Sarina Tweed jacket  (comes in 00)
Alanna Sheath Dress
Eleanor silk contrast blouse
Do you own any Club Monaco pieces and what has your experience been?

    • Thanks so much! That is one of the things I liked about this crochet is that it was a bold color…I always see cream or white so this was a nice change:)

  1. i’m liking these new backgrounds you’ve been shooting at. i like the variety.

      • Gorgeous outfit Annie! I have to agree with Aubrey here. Kudos for finding pretty new places to shoot in public. πŸ™‚ I really love that ruffle blouse and I hope that I can find something similar. I’m so glad that the Club Monaco skirt fits you since the F21 version did not. It’s such a great color for fall too.

I love CM and I’m a bit obsessed with their scarves. This summer, I splurged on one CM dress for a work function and I absolutely love it as well as the multi-purpose slip inside. In general, like Cher below, I also find that CM tops run big while the bottoms run smaller/TTS.

  2. Great find! I find that that CM tops fit a bit larger than the bottoms. I can wear the XS, usually without too much trouble, but I am a bit wider in the back than you are. Some of the non-suiting pants have been fitting extra tiny lately and I’ve found that I’ve had to go up a size in a few of the skirts as well. I think if you are extra petite, CM is definitely worth a look every now and then. Pricey, but good quality. Sizing in the bottoms is pretty inconsistent unlike the tops, but if you find something it’s so worth it.

    • I had a hard time justifying the price but after examining the quality…I was sold and decided to keep it πŸ™‚ Good to know about the sizing- thanks Cher!

  6. Wow, great skirt. Love, love! You are so adorable in everyting you wear. I am constantly amazed at the transformation bloggers go thru with their style from the beginning to the current, definately an inspiration for us readers. I am enjoying your blog lots, keep up the great work!

  8. Club Monaco is a great quality brand but I order it from eBay (new with tags) because it’s up to several orders of magnitude cheaper there than directly through CM. I know that retailers are diabolical to petites (I don’t have that problem and I can’t imagine being sized out of a brand) so this may be too much of a risk for you, but it’s an option worth keeping in mind.

At any rate, I really love this skirt on you (especially paired with that pretty top and peachy accessories) and I hope to see it on you again and again!

  11. Honestly, I haven’t shopped at Club Monaco for clothes in YEARS. In fact, I made my first trip back a few months ago after going on hiatus since 2010 and bought a couple of bets. Clothes are more or less similar to what they’ve always had. I can get similar things at say, Banana Republic or J.Crew. Anyway, the skirt’s nice – love the pop of colour, but I think it’s a bit short for work purposes. Not a bad thing to wear to go out, though.

  13. I love the feminine outfit in front of the rough and tough do not trespass sign! And I haven't tried Club Monaco but will if I ever come across one. Tks!

  14. Hi Annie, I’m a more well-endowed petite, like you, and carry more of my weight up top. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for finding blouses. I hate how most pull across my chest (like the fourth photo that you have here) since my waist is much smaller. Have you had to tailor most of your blouses or shirts because of this problem?

    • Hi Thuy! When I am standing normal and not posing for pictures and moving my arms, this blouse does not pull. I know exactly what you are talking about and it’s a pain in the butt! Most of my button-ups don’t have this problem. Is your circumference small as well? If so- that usually helps. You can always try sizing up and then tailoring it but that can be expensive. I usually have to slim most of my blouses/shirts because they are usually too wide. I hope this helps:)
