I found these Gap kids items while back in the Midwest for super cheap. The dot pants were $17 and the tee was $14. A bit pricey for a tee but I thought it was super cute.  I also picked up these girl denim dark wash shorts on clearance for $9. See fitting room pic HERE. The dot pants have an adjustable waist and fits really nicely. They are super soft and extremely comfortable. Girls size 12 fits me nicely most of the time depending on the style and cut.

These Ivanka Trump sandals are one of my favorite pairs. I splurged on them at full price and have never regretted it. They are so comfortable and the cognac color is the perfect shade.  The heel height isn’t too tall and I love the strappy design with gold buckle. I wore it everyday while visiting my family. I only brought one pair of shoes so I could save room in my suitcase for all my shopping finds. This explains why I have back to back posts with the same sandals on – pictures were taken last week while traveling:)

I was unsure if the sequin anchor was too “kiddish” but I really liked it. The tee is definitely not something I would normally buy or wear but I’m trying to branch out beyond my typical work attire.

I also wore it with my H&M striped tank and yellow blazer. It’s hard to see but I’m wearing these Aldo sandals from Nordstrom rack (also available on Nordstroms.com + on sale). They look like something Zara would carry….leather is super soft and made in Italy! When did Nordstrom’s start carrying Aldo shoes? I thought that was interesting…anyone else know that?
Speaking of Aldo shoes, my sister and I both bought these gold glitter sandals (on sale). They run extremely small. I am usually a size 35 but had to size up to a 36. My sister has a size 3 foot and the 35’s fit her decent. Good news for tiny footed ladies! They look much better on than they do online. I haven’t bought Aldo shoes for the past couple of years because of the inconsistent sizing and poor quality. These two pairs are making me think twice about reverting back.
What are your thoughts on these dot pants and sequin anchor tee?

    • That’s good to know! And I stopped buying them because they ran too big years ago so I’m happy to hear they run small:) Good news for small footed ladies like me! Yay!

  6. I totally just bought a pair of polka dot pants from Ann Taylor (their chelsea crops) and have been thinking of new ways to pair them. I love the idea of sequins, polka dot and stripes!

  8. Love the combo of stripes and dots since the dots are small and not competing with the stripes. I think the sequin anchor is cute, not childish or anything. LOVING these sunset photos though! And the sunflare, to die for! Self taken or hubby? Beautiful job!

  10. it may be the t-shirt…but for some reason, this outfit is just so casual..and i love it on you! it’s refreshing to not see work wear or super dressy going-out wear sometimes.

  14. Wow size 3 foot? What does that look like? Is she shorter than you then?

I was size 5 in 6th grade I think and I wear size 7’s now but I used to be size 6-6.5 before I started to wear all the wrong shoes that changed how my feet look and my arch fell.

I love the outfit (and this post is adorable which isn’t how I’d usually describe your style which is classy) minus the snap butttons on the capris. Not sure if just folding it up once might help with the right cropped length if you know what I mean. I’m always afraid carpis make me look like I’m wearing my pants too short since most capris are made with taller people/mile long legs in mind.

I love your Ivanka Trump sandals and the aldo shoes look cute. 🙂 I also love comfy shoes and you know I wear mine all the time (the Adrienne Vittadini Viva wedges). Sometimes I commute in a pair of shoes that may not exactly match my outfit (particularly in the winter with the treacherous black ice) but whatever. They don’t know me and I don’t care (that much). lol

  16. YOU are AMAZING at self-portraits! I am DEF pinning this for my photo inspiration!!!!!!!!!! And I hate hot humid weather too. You look great toughing it out though!

  17. I like many of the items on your blog but to be honest, this outfit is not flattering on you at all. It looks cheap and tacky. Sorry but I’m being honest.

    • I agree that it is not the most flattering. The problem with adult petite women buying child size pants is the fit – most notably in the crotch area. If you will notice, the seam is considerably shorter which causes the pulling along the top of the thigh. The cut is just not suited for an adult woman, even if they are very small. Though we may be as small (or smaller) than many children, our bodies are still adult.

      • Thanks for your feedback. Yeah I noticed that too but I think I got a bit excited about the navy dots..LOL I am wondering if I wear a longer shirt that it will help conceal it…I do love them.

  21. Hi Annie, I have a question about your Ivanka Trump sandals – I thought you bought them in size 4.5 but here I see you listed them as being size 5. Did you exchange them for a bigger size? Just curious if I’d need to size up as well. Thanks.

    • Hi there! Yes I bought both the 4.5 and 5 and they both fit but there was a strap on the 4.5 that was funky so I returned it and kept the 5. I would order your normal size or possibly 2 to compare:) Hope that helps!

  23. I like how youthful you look in your photos =] Cute sandals! Wow, size 3 foot. It must be hard for your sister to find shoes at all.
