Remember my other polka dot tie-neck blouse from Lulu’s? I’ve loved it so much that I have been looking for a pale pink version. I mulled over this Urban Outfitter’s one for quite some time. I was hesitant because the smallest size it came in was a 2. There are no reviews on it and the arm holes looked huge on the model. I had coupon and decided to try it out. Surprisingly, the width wasn’t bad but as I suspected, the armholes are gigantic:( I can’t make them any smaller because the sides don’t need slimming so I will just have to wear a matching cami underneath or wear a cardigan or blazer over it. The most important thing to me was if it looked nice when tucked in and it thankfully passed the test!
I went to do some returns yesterday and spotted a dupe of my favorite yellow (see here, here and here) and red collarless blazers but in purple wool herringbone. It’s more expensive ($49.95) and there are a couple of differences that I noticed:
– The sleeves are fully lined compared to just 1/2 on the yellow and red
– Front two pockets are real (I think this was a nice touch even tho they are super small and can’t really fit anything)
– Quality seems to be a bit nicer
– Sleeves are 1/2″ wider
I didn’t alter the sleeves on my yellow or red blazer but because of the noticeable difference in width (1/2″) on this purple one, I will more than likely be slimming and removing the ruching detail. Since it is fully lined, it will take a lot more time.
Some may frown on having dupes of the exact same items but I don’t mind it if I truly love it and it fits nicely. This will be a great color for Fall/Winter and I don’t have this color blazer in my wardrobe.

I love the pink, purple, and dots! I will definitely look for this blazer in stores! I tried that tweed $20 one on, but it didn’t quite fit right, so I passed. Will have to try this more expensive one and see 🙂
