One of my biggest challenges is wearing clothes that I already have in my closet. I love new things and the feeling of a new outfit – does anyone else feel that way? I was cleaning out my closets and found this old Ann Taylor Loft jacket. I can’t remember how much I got it for but I know it was super cheap. It comes with a tie waist but I took it off for this outfit. I think I’ve worn it a couple of times and completely forgot about it. It’s a great Spring jacket or for days when I just need a light cover up.
Everything is old in this outfit except for the J.Crew perfect fit tee and the bird scarf. I scored the tee for only $6 in-store and got the bird scarf for free back in December when JCPenney’s was running their button promotion.
I’m not sure how much longer J.Crew is going to be running their 50% off sale items in-store and 40% off online but here are some items worth mentioning:
– Colorblock striped tee (XXS still avail)
– Striped peplum top
– Sailor tee (I have and love)
– Tippi polka dot sweater
– Heartbreaker sweater
– Minnie pants in bi-stretch wool
– Classic minin in felted wool

Btw… I like the towel rack storage idea you had for scarves! If only my fiance would let me do that. We haven’t made a single hole in our walls and we moved in in 2008.

Annie, you’re put together nicely again. Even with a T-shirt, this looks every bit as classy as a proper button-down blouse. The pants and pumps are both lovely along with the sweet Chanel handbag. I certainly like the scarf. Not sure if you were going for a casual chic outfit or what, but I like what you did here.

Like the entire outfit—Loft has some cute casual jackets—-and it looks great on you! You elevate the entire look with your accessories! I am trying to wear what I have–instead of buying new–it’s tough with all these super sales lately—-but I have reorg’d my closet by item type and color–so I can more easily see what I have already so I don’t buy duplicates===and buy where I have gaps instead….
