I’ve been trying to switch things up a bit and not wear a blazer with every outfit. A couple of readers have pointed out that I style everything with a blazer – which is true. I love my blazers and it’s an easy way for me to stay warm at the office. I’ve been trying to layer more and use the tie method (not sure what it’s called) on my shirts – see an old post from last year here. I’m sure not everyone is a fan of this look but I think it’s a great way to add something different to your outfit and change up your look and still look put together. I also tried it with a ruffle shirt underneath here.
You would think it would be bulky layering two button up shirts but it’s not. The back view isn’t the greatest example but I just tuck the outer shirt under and it does stay in place all day. It looked much nicer in real life but for some reason was bunchy during photos:(
After much debate, I decided to take up the length on this skirt and keep at knee length. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions on Instagram. I didn’t permanently alter it so if I change my mind in the future, I can always let the hem down.
