Necklace: Ann Taylor
I’ve been on a striped skirt kick and while browsing one night, I fell in love with this skirt. The bow sash sold me! I love that it’s custom, made to order and not an item that is made in massive quantities. The seller is super sweet and the quality is really nice. I ordered not knowing how well it would turn out. I was pleasantly surprised at her quality. The stitching was perfect and all the stripes lined up on the bottom and sides. I love that it’s 100% cotton and a heavier material. It’s not see through and there is no need to wear a slip if you don’t want to.
The bow sash is attached (in back) so it doesn’t slip up and down and stays in place. I adore the fullness and a-line cut. It doesn’t come with pockets but she was kind enough to add them for me.
I love the skinny navy stripes (not black) and can see this as a favorite for a long time to come. If you are similar in size to me, I asked for a 24″ waist/20″ in total length and it turned out perfectly.
In case anyone is interested, I saw these adorable white/navy polkadot cotton cropped pants at Ann Taylor Factory. There were no 00P’s for me to try on so I had to have it shipped to me. It was 50% off and would be so cute for Spring/Summer. I should be getting mine this week! Hope they fit! Here’s the tag info:
I ADORE this skirt! You should definitely keep it, navy is so versatile.
Simply Sabrina
Thank you Sabrina! I have no choice but to keep it since it was custom made for me 😀
Very cute skirt Annie! I love how full and poofy it is and how it’s custom-made. Thanks for helping me score the Navy&Cream Nordstrom Striped Skirt! I love it to pieces 🙂
Thanks Christine! And you are more than welcome about the Nordie’s skirt – wearing mine today (again)! 🙂
The striped skirt is so pretty on you Annie! It’s great that it turned out exactly as the seller described in her listing and she is a sweetheart for adding pockets. I may need to order it from her too. Thanks again for recommending the striped skirt from Nordstrom (of course as I type this I noticed Chritine said the same too ha). I’m looking forward to wearing mine now that the weather is warmer here. Looking forward to seeing those polka dot pants on you. 🙂
Thanks Jess. I was shocked that it was exactly as what was on her Etsy shop. I was nervous to say the least but thrilled at the final product. I love it so much. You are thinking of getting one too? Let me know if you want to take close-ups of any areas on the skirt 🙂 Can’t wait to get my polka dot pants!
I blame you for making me covet the skirt because it looks
so cute on you. I need to drag out my spring clothes from storage before I make
up my mind but I think the photos you provided here are more than enough. 🙂
LOL! Okie dokie…let me know if you have any questions 🙂
It is such a cute skirt, even more so with the sash! I always prefer supporting smaller businesses. You end up with a unique item that not many people own. Very nice!
Thanks Grace! I love supporting small businesses – especially mom’s 🙂
Love the skirt and the pop of pink top! I would be so nervous to get something custom made but seems like you had success with it!

I am so in love with your skirt! The light gray stripes against the white feels so crisp and fresh and I love that it is pretty structured and keeps its shape. Seems like the perfect spring staple piece 🙂 Overall adorable outfit – I think I’m going to have to look into buying this skirt as well 🙂
