I scored this belted mustard ponte dress this past weekend for only $38! The store I happened to pop into had no petites and I was just about to walk out of the store disappointed.  I decided to peruse the sale section and low and behold, there was a 00P hanging there for me to buy. I remember trying it on here and at the time, didn’t like the fit but re-tried it on and ended up loving it. This time, I switched out the matching belt and put replaced it with my Ferragamo and it looked much better.

The dress has it issues like the exposed back zipper, wrinkly prone material and is unlined. However, I love the chartreuse/mustard color, the silhouette and it has pockets.  Plus the price was too good to pass up.

The sales associate who rang me up couldn’t believe the price and ran back to the clearance section to find one for herself. It was marked down to $64.99 plus an additional 40% off.

The v-neck isn’t too low so you can wear it w/out a shirt underneath. I decided to layer it with a blouse instead of throwing a blazer over it. See some outfits here and here of when I layered a shirt underneath a v-neck dress.  I’m still loving my Coach leopard pumps – thanks again for the alert Vicky! See it on her here.

The wind was crazy when I took these photos so excuse the messy hair. I hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Have you ever tried something on and didn’t like it but gave it a second chance and ended up loving it?

  1. I absolutely love this outfit Annie! It’s so pretty and classy and it looks great paired with your silk blouse. You know how I stay away from vnecks but I should consider layering a pretty blouse underneath instead of discounting this style altogether. 🙂

    • Aw thanks so much Jess! You are so sweet. Yes yes yes I think you should give it a try! I have a feeling you will end up really liking v-necks layered with a blouse. Do it. Lol

  2. Wow Annie, really, $38??? Are prices that low at outlet malls (assuming it was an outlet mall)?

  3. The dress looks amazing without the matching belt. This outfit is really classy! I can’t wait to recreate this one as well! 🙂

  4. Hello this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you
have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have
no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
