I’m happy to report that these polkadot cropped pants I found last weekend are a keeper (see post here). There were no small sizes for me to try on so I took the risk and had one shipped to me. Worst case, I could shrink them since they are cotton. Ann Taylor had the Chelsea cropped dot pants that I missed out on but I prefer the white on navy polkadots better for Spring/Summer.

Fit: The waist is a tad loose on me but I think once I wash and dry it (see outfit below), it should be good. The thighs are a slightly baggy in the back (see above butt shot). I’m wearing these on my low waist and the crotch area fits me nicely. I was afraid that the length would hit me at a weird spot like most cropped pants do but these are truly a cropped length on me (5′ tall). I was expecting the butt to be baggy like my AT Factory polkadot shorts but these fit much better. It’s either that or my butt is getting bigger 🙂
Color: White with navy (not black) polkadots
Quality: The quality is nice and pretty much what I normally expect from Ann Taylor factory. The only complaint I have is that there are no belt loops. I like the option of being able to wear a belt – it also helps alleviate the small waist gap in the back when belted.

Verdict: Keeping! Warning – after washing and drying, the pants fit much better in the waist/butt/legs but shrunk 1″ in length. I’m hoping they aren’t too short now.

I don’t own any pants with a print on it but I love these polkadot pants on you! You’re lucky the shrinking worked out perfectly. I always struggle with what shoes to wear with cropped dress pants so I tend to stay away from them myself. 🙂 I actually liked the AT Chelsea version as well.
Thanks Jess! I usually always wear pumps or high heel sandals since the cropped length always shortens me even more. Hopefully the length isn’t too bad after washing and drying. I’ll prob air dry next time 😉
