I just got back from visiting my family in the Midwest and trying to catch up on everything. It’s never fun coming back to reality from a mini vacation and to top things off, I got sick on my last day. Traveling and airplanes while you have a sore throat…the worst.

I’ve been waiting for a Banana Republic sale to get this striped textured colorblock sheath and decided that 35% off was good enough. I would have preferred to wait for the 40% off but didn’t want to chance my size selling out.  See how cute this dress looks on What Jess Wore here.

Jacket: Anthropologie – size XS (borrowed from sister, similar here or here)
I wore this for an entire day and noticed that it does wrinkle in the middle of the dress. I was bummed about this because wrinkles are annoying and always makes outfits look messy. Nonetheless, it’s super comfortable and I still love it. You can dress it up for work or wear it casually with flats on the weekends. I would recommend it. See my fitting room review here.

It was rainy on and off for the majority of the time I was back home. I picked up this adorable polkadot umbrella from J.Crew for $11.99 in stores and put it to good use for most of my trip.  I had a small window of dry weather and sunshine when I took these photos and wanted to show off my cute umbrella 🙂
Have you picked up this dress?

  1. You look so adorable! I absolutely love that dress on you. I have to say… Your blog has been so helpful. So often J.Crew stuff–even the smallest sizes–is just too big. Sometimes it can be hard to find flattering clothing for smaller people! Your blog is SO helpful! 🙂

  2. The dress looks so cute on you Annie! Your initial review convince me to head in stores and find it before it sold out too. I’m happy you got the J.Crew polka dot umbrella in stores because it’s one of my favorites. I like that their umbrellas are easy to open and close which I appreciate when trying to stay dry. 🙂 I’m sad to hear that you got sick on the last day of your vacation but I hope you feel better soon! xo

    • Will you let me know if your dress wrinkles in the middle? I’m curious to see if it’s just me.
I haven’t bought an umbrella in years and was super happy to find this one on sale! It’s so much better than my ghetto one that I have now. Lol
