Pleated Tie Neck Shell – size XXSP (recommended by Jess)
Skirt: Ann Taylor – size 00P
Clare Vivier Leopard Foldover Flat Clutch
Measurements: Shoulder to shoulder 11″, armpit to armpit 16.5″, width at bottom 20″, total length 21.5″
Pros: Love the mustard yellow color and pleated detail. The tie neck is ultra feminine. This top looks great worn alone or layered with a cardigan or blazer for Fall/Winter. The armholes are a good size – no bra peeking out.
Cons: The top runs wide and makes it difficult for tucking in for a smooth finish. There is a lot of excess material in the back. I plan on slimming it in the near future.
Verdict: Keeping and would recommend
Pleat front tee blouse – size XXSP (see on Jess)
Skirt: H&M {old} – size 2
Shoes: Calvin Klein – size 5
Skirt: H&M {old} – size 2
Shoes: Calvin Klein – size 5
Measurements: Shoulder to shoulder 14.5″, armpit to armpit 16″, width at bottom 19″, total length 21.5″
Pros: This is the short sleeve version of my dip dot and mustard blouses. I love the trio of box pleats and the material feels silk like. It’s very comfortable and tucks in nicely. The fiery red color is the perfect shade of red and will transition well through seasons. I can see this paired with a black pencil skirt and tights with booties for Fall. I adore how it’s a cross between a tee and a blouse so you can easily dress it up or wear it casually.
Cons: I wish it came in more colors.
Tiered ruffle shell – size XXSP (see on Jess)
Jeans: H&M Super Sqin {old} – size 24
Shoes: Christian Louboutin – size 34.5
Jeans: H&M Super Sqin {old} – size 24
Shoes: Christian Louboutin – size 34.5
This reminds me of my H&M ruffle top as seen here.
Pros: I adore the cocoa sand (blush) color. The fit is pretty nice for someone my size. Armholes are nice and small. Length is perfect. The ruffles are pretty and very feminine but there’s almost too many ruffles?
Cons: This top only looks good un-tucked. That doesn’t really work for me since I mostly wear tops tucked into my skirts. If you want a casual ruffle top, this is a great choice. It could look cute with jeans and layered under a blazer.
Verdict: Cute but don’t love it – returning.
Seamed tweed skirt – size 00P
Measurements: Waist laying flat 12.5″, hips 16.5″, total length 18″
Pros: The sizing is decent and the waist is 1/2″ smaller than most of their 00P skirts. The length hits right above the knees and is work appropriate.
Cons: The quality and material feel cheap to me and appears to be wrinkle prone. I rarely have luck with Loft skirts.
Polka dot tie neck 3/4″ sleeve blouse – size XXSP {not avail online yet, style #319977}
Skirt: Forever 21 {very old} – size XS
Skirt: Forever 21 {very old} – size XS
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simple 100’s in nude patent – size 34.5
Pros: Love the polka dots and the tie neck.
Cons: Blouse runs big and wide – including the sleeves. I usually like 3/4″ sleeves because they work well for my short arms but on this blouse, it was a no go.
Verdict: Return.
It seems like Loft has been coming out with some pretty good stuff lately and every time I log on, I add something else to my cart. I’m loving this peter pan collar pleat front blouse and will have to order it during the next sale. I adore this striped popcorn stitch sweater even though I have enough stripes to last me two lifetimes. This sleeveless flare skirt dress in mid weight scuba looks promising and does not have an exposed zipper.
Which item is your favorite?
I like the style of the mustard blouse, but not the colour, so I would go for the red blouse π

I feel the same way about the tweed skirt. I really wanted to get it but all them were wrinkled and I hate ironing so it was no go for me. Loft is have a 50% off sale today so you might want to check online to see if some of the other items you like are on sale.
Thank you!! Checking now!

I love both of the pleated tops on you and it’s too bad the mustard one needs slimming. If only they were more consistent in sizing. Thanks for recommending the peter pan collar blouse and popcorn stitch sweater! I’ve added them to my card to the next sale too. π I noticed that two items I ordered are now 50% off so I’m a little annoyed but too lazy to re-order/re-purchase for a slightly better price.
Gah! I hate when that happens! Hope our Peter Pan top works out:)
