Purse: Kate Spade (buy here)
Necklace: J.Crew Factory (buy here or similar)
Happy Monday! I just got back from a mini vacation at Pelican Hill Resort and feel so refreshed! Sometimes it’s good to get a way from everything even if it’s for a few days. Today’s post is pairing chambray with stripes and a statement necklace. I love this combo both for work and on the weekends. I’m loving this Forever 21 skirt! I can’t get over how well it fits and how thick the material is. See recent review and measurements here.
If you are in need of a chambray shirt, I’m loving this drapey softened one (darker color here) or this faded chambray – both available in petites.
I’ve been wanting this J.Crew sunburst necklace for the longest time and I was able to get it for free with my J.Crew rewards. Thanks to Gigi for helping me figure out what the difference between the regular and the factory version. Here’s a very similar dupe from Ily Couture.
Let’s talk about this amazing Kate Spade bag! In case you are debating between the small or large beau, I’d suggest going with the smaller size (especially if you are petite). The large measures 10.5″h x 18″w x 6″d and the small measures 8.5″h x 15″w x 5.5″d. It’s a pretty big difference in size even though it’s only a few inches. It’s very roomy and great for someone who carries likes to carry a lot of stuff. It also comes with an adjustable longer strap if you don’t like carrying it in your hands/arms. This purse is a structured and more of a heavier purse so you might want to take that into consideration when purchasing. I love it and would definitely recommend. You can buy it here.

Hi Annie, I just discovered stylishpetite a month ago and can’t stop reading! I am in LOVE with that F21 skirt and realize that only size small is now left on the F21 website in navy/cream. I read your measurements link and realize that there is a size discrepancy and it runs small. I went to my local F21 store but was unable to find it stores to try on. My waist is 25″, hips are 37″, usually a size M in F21 skirts, and I am not very petite. I’m debating whether to get it in small (it’ll probably be really tight) in navy/cream, or settle for a M or L in black/cream and black/taupe. Do you think I should size up and get a L or stay with M? Also, what were your thoughts on the black/cream and black/taupe colors of the same skirt? Thanks!
Hi there! I would get a medium but that will be fitted. If you want a more comfortable fit – a large is maybe a safer bet:) I like the black/cream better than the taupe!
