Hope you’re having a great weekend so far! Here are some noteworthy sales going on this weekend:

I wasn’t planning on doing reviews on these items but I decided what the heck…it’s cloudy and chilly outside and I refuse to get dressed or comb my hair (yet). The items that don’t have measurements have been already returned. *slaps forehead*

Measurements: shoulders 13″, armpits 15″, sleeves 21″, sleeve width 5″ (4″ at the opening), total length 19″

Likes: I’m always on the hunt for the perfect denim jacket and for some reason, there are always issues with each one. I like the wash on this one A LOT because it’s not too light and not too dark. I’ve tried on several in the past from Loft and this one seems to fit the least boxy. The arms are a tad long but I like to wear them cuffed up so I’m willing to look past this.

Dislikes: I wish the chest pockets weren’t sitting so high but other than this, it’s a winner!

Verdict: Keeping and would recommend (buy HERE)

Jcrew poplin swing petite trench coat elsie suede pumps Ann Taylor striped shirt AG white jeans

Poplin swing trench (size 00P) // AG jeans // Striped shirt // Blue pumps

Likes: The quality is really nice and the color is spot on. Sizing runs true to size for J.Crew. Size 00P fits nicely if you are similar in size to me. The sleeve length is just right which is a huge bonus.

Dislikes: I was disappointed that this trench didn’t have the button tab sleeves or the shoulder epaulettes (both classic qualities in a trench). I would have preferred if the buttons were darker too. FYI – the color online is much lighter than it is in person.

Verdict: Returned

Eliza J petite striped fit & flare dress Ann Taylor jackie bow navy sandals multi-strand pearl necklace

Stripe fit & flare dress (size 0P) // Ann Taylor bow sandals (similar HERE) // Faux pearl necklace (similar HERE)

Measurements: shoulders 9″, armpits 15″, waist 12.5″ total length 34″

Likes: You know I’m a sucker for stripes and this dress has tons of potential. Love the red belt accent and the pleated style. Size 0P fits true to size. The dress is slightly roomy for me however the belt helps pull everything together. Best part is, it has pockets! The length is perfect for someone my height. The material is a textured cotton/polyester blend but lightweight enough for Spring/Summer. It would look cute with a cropped cardigan or blazer for work. The quality is really nice and the dress is fully lined.

Dislikes: I don’t like the open back even though your bra doesn’t show. I would have preferred a classic back with a hidden zipper. Price point is a bit high but the quality makes up for it.

Verdict: Returned but would recommend (buy HERE)

Loft scalloped lace tee Forever 21 box pleated gingham skirt

Gingham pleated skirt (size 24) // Scallop lace tee (xxsp, see below for review) // Louboutin pumps (cheaper HERE or HERE)

Measurements: waist 11.5″, total length 17″

Likes: I was really excited that this skirt had numerical sizing. I adore the gingham print and box pleats. I was shocked to see this skirt is made from 100% cotton. Plus, it’s fully lined and has pockets!

Dislikes: I don’t like the exposed zipper in the back and wish the length was longer. The skirt runs on the smaller side so I’d recommend sizing up if you are in-between sizes. Since the skirt is cotton, it’s going to be wrinkle prone so keep that in mind.

Verdict: Returned but decent quality and would recommend.

Lou & Grey checkered shorts (xxsp) // Scallop lace tee (xxsp) // Chanel espadrilles (similar HERE)

SHORTS:

Likes: I don’t own too many shorts but these were too cute to pass up! They are SO comfortable and I love that it has pockets. The material is so soft, they almost feel like pajamas. These will be great for lounging around the house and running errands in the Summer.

Dislikes: Nothing, love!

Verdict: Keeping (buy HERE)

TEE:

Likes: I had high hopes for this little scallop lace tee. How cute are the sleeves and neckline? It comes in several different colors and is an item you can easily throw on and go.

Dislikes: The material is really thin and even after a good steaming, it still appeared wrinkly. The Summer peach color is more of a light pink in real life. I also ordered the soft blue breeze and I think I like that color better.

Verdict: Returning the peach but keeping the blue version.

Likes: I love the bow details on the shoulders. The chartruese color is gorgeous and it has pockets!

Dislikes: The gold exposed zipper in the back killed it for me. The sizing on this dress is different than my other J.Crew dresses that I own. It runs larger than usual. I suspect this dress will be wrinkly after sitting for a period of time.

Verdict: Returned but would recommend if you need a cute work dress (buy HERE).
