Today, I’m teaming up with Chicwish to share with you this adorable peach flare skirt. This is perfect skirt for Spring/Summer and it’s under $40! Woo hoo! It’s supposed to be midi length but I decided to make it shorter. Make sure to continue reading to see the before/after photo and how easy it was to hem without paying for alterations.

Now, let’s get into reviewing this skirt shall we? It’s fully lined and has just the right amount of pleating. You can easily dress it up for work with a blouse and pumps or wear it casually like I did here with a tee and denim jacket.
Sizing starts at XS and goes up to XXL. I was thrilled to see this skirt available in such a wide arrange of sizes. Here are the measurements of an XS:
Waist 12″ flat (24″ waist), total length 26.5″(original hem)
Since I’m very petite, hem length is always tricky for me. As much as I love midi skirts, it doesn’t always work on someone my height (5′ tall). I opted to take the length up to 21.5″ which is knee length for me. Since the hem is unfinished, this was very easy to take up with just a pair of scissors. Just be very careful when cutting on each side where the seams meet. It didn’t line up perfectly for me which resulted in one side being slightly uneven. *slaps forehead*
I was in a big rush when cutting it (never a good idea) and didn’t really think it through so unfortunately one side is perfect and the other…not so much. It’s best to start cutting a little bit longer to compensate for any mistakes. You can always go shorter but you can’t add length.
I paired this skirt with my new denim jean jacket and it’s the perfect casual outfit – feminine and comfortable. You can’t beat this combo! If you’re in the market for a denim jacket, here are some options for you:

I never would have thought a blue tee and peach skirt would compliment each other so well but I’m digging this color combo. One thing I’ve learned from blogging is to not be afraid of color and be open to trying new combinations. It’s so much fun and a great way to get more use out of your clothes.These amazing sandals make yet another appearance! A pair of nude sandals is a MUST HAVE and if you don’t already own a pair, you need these in your life. Typically these type of sandals kill your feet but I’m telling you, these are extremely comfortable! You can buy them HERE or here are some other great options for you:

A very smart choice in choosing to go shorter, it’s always flattering for us petite people. I also adore the polka dot top, but always at a lost to find one. Hopefully I will find one in the near future otherwise these “. . .” will do for now. 🙂
