As much as I love pink, one of my other favorite color to wear is mustard. Pair it with white and navy and you have a gorgeous combo that will transition right into fall. I’m head over heels in love with this tie-neck top and mustard pleated skirt. See how I styled the same skirt HERE. Both are petite friendly and very affordable! This tie-neck top is my new favorite! How cute is the ruffled neck, dotted motif and navy necktie? It’s reminiscent of this adorable tunic that I wore HERE. Clearly I have a thing for tie-neck bow tops. There’s just something so girly about them that just makes me feel happy.
Sizing runs a true to size and I’m wearing XXS. The material has no stretch so I’d recommend sizing up if you’re in-between sizes or have a larger chest. You can wear this alone or layer with a cardigan or blazer – so classy for work. The top is sheer so you’ll need to wear a camisole or tank underneath. Love it and would highly recommend!
I have mad love for this mustard pleated skirt. Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing size XS. I like how the length is past the knees for ladies that prefer a more modest look. If you’re petite and wondering if you can pull this longer length off. The answer is YES absolutely! I’m under 5′ tall and I love the length. There’s elastic in the back of the waist which gives it some stretch and makes it very comfortable to wear. It’s always a major plus if a skirt has belt loops. FYI – this skirt comes with a brown faux leather braided belt (see HERE). Petite friendly, has pockets and under $60? What’s not to love? Obviously you need this in your life. Mustard is such a gorgeous color for fall.
In case you’ve never shopped at ModCloth before, they have so many great vintage-y and unique finds. A lot of their items start at size XXS and go up to 4X. I think it’s fabulous that they have such a wide range of sizes for all different body types. Here are some of new arrivals I’m currently coveting:
