Two. Two years old. Where has the time gone? It feels like I was just writing about her first birthday smash cake party. I’m still processing the fact that my baby is now a toddler. A little human who walks, talks and has the biggest personality.
I had all these grand ideas in my head for Milan’s birthday party and basically none of them turned out (lol). That’s just life and I’m 100% okay with that because she was so happy and that’s all that really matters. I procrastinated planning her party due to the holidays so by the time I started ordering everything, everyone was still not back to work. You’d think I’d learn my lesson last year but clearly I have mommy brain. All my orders got delayed and didn’t arrive in time. #nailedit It ended up working out for Milan because she got three birthday celebrations instead of one. 
I ordered this bunny hat for her but it didn’t arrive in time. I was pretty bummed since it would have been perfect for the party but she likes her turbans better anyway. I had to cover up her arms and legs (just like her first birthday party) so she would scratch. Gosh I hate eczema so much!
Since this is post is to celebrate Milan turning two, I don’t want to dwell on what went wrong or anything negative so let’s talk about her bunny party! I found this birthday decoration package and wanted to share because it’s a really good deal! If you are planning a party, this gives you everything all in one package. I ended up saving half the balloons to give to her for Valentine’s day. The #2 balloon I bought separately HERE and it’s still inflated while the other ones deflated after only one day.
A special thanks to My First Year for Milan’s giant bunny! She loved it and they even engraved her name on one of ears. She wanted to have tea with her new bunny. LOL This pink tea set is SO CUTE and I love that it’s BPA and phthalate free and made from recycled plastic milk containers. It’s currently on sale!
Milan loved her bunny cake and requested to see it everyday (we saved the front part for her. I thought she would devour it but she only took her finger and licked it a few times and that was it. I was going to let her eat it but she didn’t want to plus I baked her organic cupcakes instead with better ingredients.
These adorable bunny cupcake toppers were supposed to arrive but it was my own fault because I didn’t realize they were coming from Europe. #momfail At least I’ll be able to use them for Easter (lol). I’m going to try to take a pic of them next time I bake cupcakes and update the post.

Milan got this pink play kitchen from Kid Kraft but we are still putting it together. I’ll post a pic of it soon, she is going to love it!
I really tried not putting so much pressure on myself this year for her birthday because at the end of the day, what really matters isn’t about the cake, decorations or gifts. It’s about loving her and celebrating the day she was born. As long as she’s healthy and happy, that’s really all that matters. I know moms (including myself) tend to stress out about making things perfect but there’s no point to putting yourself through all that. Just breathe and have fun with your little one. 🙂
