I’m so excited about todays post because I love this outfit so much! I’ll be showing how you can easily transition this outfit from desk to dinner.
You can never go wrong with classic black and white. I love adding a bright hue to give the outfit a little pop of color. Black, white and yellow has to be one of my favorite color combos.
This off the shoulder top is so versatile and can be worn casually or dressed up. I adore the 3/4″ sleeves – great for petite gals with short arms. Sizing runs very small so I’d recommend sizing up 1-2 sizes. I’m wearing size XXS and could probably size up to XS or small. It’s very form fitting so keep that in mind when ordering.
This striped midi skirt is one of my favorite pieces from ModCloth (see it last worn HERE). I get so many compliments every time I wear it. I love that it fits perfectly with no alterations needed. The waist has elastic in the back to give it a little stretch and room for you to eat and breathe (lol). Plus it has pockets! Anything with pockets is always a bonus. 🙂
Can we just talk about this amazing bag? You know I love structured and classic bags so when I saw this one, I knew it had to be mine. I love the color, size and shape. The quality is AMAZING and the interior of the bag is leather as well. I’ve seen purses that are similar in quality for 4x the price! What a great bag for spring and summer. Love it to pieces. It also comes in navy HERE. I’m hoping they come out with more colors. It’s the perfect classic bag. You need this in your life.
How adorable is this pink cardigan? I love the retro and old fashioned vibe. The rose pink color with black round buttons and coordinating cat chasing a ball of yard (rolled onto the back of the sweater). Seriously too cute for words. You can easily throw it over your off the shoulder top for more coverage and voila it becomes work appropriate. Wear it buttoned or un-buttoned, either way looks great.
Sizing is a bit tricky because it’s offered in European sizes. I’m wearing UK 4 which is an XXXS (note there’s triple X’s) in US sizes (per the tag). It’s similar in size to ModCloth’s size XXS.
As you know and I’ve said it a million times, I love ModCloth. I’ve been obsessed since I started blogging which was eight years ago. If you’ve never shopped here before and curious about sizing…they have a variety of sizes starting from XXS – 4X. In case you’re petite, most of their XXS and XS are petite friendly and require no alterations. I just got this and this and had to size up on both skirts. As a reference, I’m just under 5′ tall and 94 lbs.

Love this skirt and the sweater. I love the shape of the bag, but not fond of yellow. I would love to see this in other colors. It definitely looks like one of those bags I can’t afford.
I love ModCloth too, but I do have fit issues since I’m 4’11”, so I’m petite height, but not a petite body type. I’m very curvy with boobs and a butt, so I’ve had to send back a lot of stuff I ordered from them over the years because torsos are too long when they’re big enough to fit my boobs. I also find quality uneven. Blouses and dresses can be so thin they’re transparent. They need some bricks-and-mortar stores so we can see quality before we buy.
