Anniversary of Miscarriage + Recent Purchases

Today marks the anniversary of my miscarriage 5 years ago.  Although I have a lot to be thankful, it doesn’t change the memory or loss.  Unless you’ve experienced what this feels like, it’s hard to comprehend or articulate.

Every year on this exact day, it’s always tough.  Really really tough.  I try to give Milan extra snuggles and love.  She was my saving grace.  My rainbow baby after a horrific storm.  Now I have another miracle in my belly to be thankful for.

You can read more about it HERE.  It’s hard for me to read my old post as it brings up so many painful memories.  Tears are streaming down my face as I type this.  It’s a hard day to say the least.

For anyone who has experienced a miscarriage, I feel you and it’s okay to grieve no matter how much time has passed.  One bit of advice for anyone who knows someone that has gone through this, please don’t say that miscarriages are so common and that a lot of women go through this.  As true as this is, it’s not helpful.  Sometimes not saying anything at all and just showing your support is enough.

I’m a sucker for poncho sweaters and this speckled poncho sweater is super cute and cozy.  Sizing runs large so I would recommend sizing down if possible.  I’m wearing size XXSP and there is plenty of room even with my growing bump.  It’s currently on sale for only $30 which is an insane deal!  Love and would recommend.

  1. Love your new looks, esp. the poncho. I understand about your lose. I had one after two babies. I was able to have my third with no issues. Still think about that loss, esp. near the anniversay and I think it is OK to remember and feel sad. Sending best wishes!

    • Hi Susan,
So sorry for your loss but happy you were able to have your other babies. What a blessing. It’s crazy how we never forget no matter how much time passes. Thank you for your wishes. XO

  2. You look super cute pregnant 😍 How should some one show support for parents going through/having gone through miscarriage?

    • Aw thank you and I would just offer support and be a shoulder to cry on. That’s all you can do for anyone who is currently going through one. It’s tough 🙁
