Happy Lunar New Year!
I’ve been doing this tradition since Milan was 3 years old. We skipped 2020 due to Covid plus I was pregnant with Miss Meadow. You can see our Ao Dai’s from last year HERE.
Even though they are both 1/2 Vietnamese, it’s so important to me that they know the Vietnamese culture and traditions. If my Vietnamese wasn’t so awful, I would try to teach them to speak the language as well. It would also be easier if we lived near my family.
I got all of our Ao Dai’s in Westminster instead of ordering them online so I unfortunately don’t have any links to provide for you. There are some options HERE in case you want to plan for next year. We went up to Orange County the other week so I could get my Chanel earrings fixed and also find some Ao Dai’s. It was SO busy and chaotic (there was a festival going on). You couldn’t even find parking. Pure madness. I literally ran into the mall and grabbed whatever I could in the kids sizes. I didn’t have much luck finding a dress for myself. It was slim pickings and not many options in my size. If I lived closer, I would probably do a custom dress – that’s typically how you do it. Buying this type of dress off the rack is really hard to do. At least I got something right? 🙂
For those who celebrate, wishing you good health, wealth and prosperity! XO
Wow! So beautiful. I love the colors and prints. I would never have known what you went through to get these pretty outfits. You all look wonderful and so sweet. 🙂
So pretty!!! Happy New Year! Family traditions are so important. Enjoyed these photos and TY for sharing.
You all look adorable in ao dai. 🥰🥰🥰 Love those pictures. Mom did a great work to get those beautiful outfits. Happy Lunar year.
Yeah, Garden Grove/Little Saigon isn’t great for parking in general for some reason. City planning lacked at some point.
