I couldn’t decide which pictures to choose so just a warning that this post is pic heavy.  I know it’s annoying when bloggers post a bunch of photos that are essentially all the same – so I apologize in advance.  I usually choose between 3-5 but didn’t have the patience today.

This crochet lace dress is a closet favorite (see here and here and here worn as a top and favorite way with my yellow blazer) and I hope they bring it back for those of you that may have missed out. See it on Jean and Cee,  and the skirt version on Sydney.  If I forgot to link you, please let me know 🙂

I got this Gap girls jean jacket about 7 months ago for only $13.99. I had tried several different brands back in December, including American Eagle (see here in XS) but all the arms were always to wide and long. I finally ended up with the kids version because the arms were slim and much shorter. See previous posts here and here. If you are similar in size, I would recommend trying kids or juniors.

Lip gloss: NYX in dolly pink
Brooch: Chanel Pearl (current style)

I got this Chanel pearl brooch back in April with my Neiman Marcus rewards and only had to pay $25 out of pocket. It retails for $400 and is a current style.  I wish it was more of a gold tone (silver-ish) but I still love it. I think it’s the perfect size – not too small and not oversize.

  1. Absolutely love the lace dress- didn’t even realize it was a dress at first. Thanks for the idea to tie the shirt- I have images of tied chambray running through my head now 🙂

    • Aw thanks Shira. Yes I do my own makeup but it’s nothing special. I don’t do anything special – I’m still a makeup novice 🙂

  2. You look gorgeous here Annie! The little pictures you posted on IG don’t do this outfit justice. 🙂 I love that lace dress on you and I have grabby hands every time you wear it. The Chanel brooch is darling and I can see it as a nice touch with a simple sheath dress and minimal jewelry. If I tie a shirt over my dress I like to wear it buttoned up like how you are wearing it in this post. I’ve been looking for a jean jacket for a while and I returned the white one I showed you from Bloomies. I couldn’t get over how wide the sleeves were in the kid’s large and medium was too small.

    • I found that most of the kids denim jackets were very wide in the sleeves. I’m lucky this Gap one has slim arms which is why I got it.
Thanks for the suggestion on the Chanel brooch:) Will try that! I wore it with my AT tweed blazer to work with a simple pencil skirt too.

      • The Old Navy girls jacket is very similar. The XL had slim sleeves and
shoulders and fit me very well. Also, some of the girls’ jackets have
super tiny chest pockets that look awkward on women and these weren’t as
pronouced. Here’s it in white online
        http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=60050&vid=1&pid=513584002

I was trying to find the GAP one, but a few weeks ago it was
sold out online and hard to find in stores. Old Navy was having a 30%
sale this weekend and I snagged it for $14 down from a reasonable $20
full price. ON quality is hit or miss but this jacket is thick, stretchy
and comfortable. I see it holding up well.

  3. I love this outfit! ever since I first saw a pic on Instagram, I felt in love with your wonderful dress

  4. LOVE the Chanel sunglasses!! Do you happen to remember the style number? Thanks!
