When I first saw this dress online, I thought nothing of it. It actually looks ugly at first glance. Then I saw it in-store and for some reason felt compelled to get it w/out trying it on because I was in a big rush (as always). So here is what it looks like with my Aqua cashmere bolero:

Shoes: Ann Taylor Porcini Pumps- size 5 (sold HERE)

Back of dress
FIT: The 00p fits nicely. The armholes are just right. The waist and bust area fits the way it should- not too tight and not too loose. The length is perfect if you want to wear to work. The hips and bottom area were just a TAD too big for me. I prefer a more fitted look but it’s do-able.
MATERIAL: Wrinkles way too easily!!! I had just put this dress on and it was already in need of a steamer. The top tulle area of the dress, you need to wear a strapless bra because the cut of the top is not mean to be worn with a bra. But if you cover up with a cardigan or blazer- then you will be fine.
COST: For $98- if it didn’t wrinkle so easily- I would keep it but I think I’ll wait for a coupon.
VERDICT: Return! I have no idea what possessed me to want to buy it but at least I get to show everyone and do a review. I like it and it fits nicely but I don’t love it for $98. Sometimes I think I just get so excited when I see a 00P in-store that I just buy it just to have it.
If you love the Aqua Cashmere open cardigan, the adults version comes in 3 different colors and in XS and Small! It’s still at full price now but as soon as it goes on sale, I am hoping to get the gray one in XS. I have this Aqua Girls bolero in cream and black and wear them so much! Love them! @Cee- I have had this issue twice now with LOFT items! The dress online appears a totally different color!!! And that happened to my LOFT ruffled jacket too! Strange..!!!
I really like that cardigan! Yes, definitely wait for a sale. Though the dress looks great on you, I don't think it's $98 great when LOFT has so many sales.
i saw this dress in person and agree that it's really pretty. i think the dress looks a tad big on you especially from waist down.
Great outfit on you. Colour is so pretty. I haven't found a way for a bolero to work for me but you just gave me an idea. I prefer dresses/skirts over pants because of wrinkles (across hips) so this would be a non-work outfit for me.
That dress is really nice! Too bad it doesn't work out well. I can't stand clothes that wrinkle that easily. Thanks for the review on it because I know that I will definitely not get it because of the wrinkling.

Oh, I saw this dress and wanted for its lingerie inspired details…I have to agree with the others that I just can't bring myself to pay as much as $100 for it though!
hmm yea, it's very wrinkly (a clothing pet peeve of mine). is it linen? but the bodice and neckline fit you very well. while it's nice, it's not $98 nice. sigh, oh well.

@Em- wrinkles are a MAJOR pet peeve of mine too!!! It's actually 100% cotton on the bottom portion of the dress and polyester on the top where the tulle is. Agreed- nice but not nice enuf for me to spend a full $98 for it!

OMG. Can I just say, I've been stalking your blog sale post with the Mary Janes?! I desperately want them in grey, camel, pretty much every color! I own all black shoes and want something dif, but the design of those in particular with the low heel height and skinny straps is beautiful. PLEASE let me know if you ever come across similar in other colors! I also checked VS after you mentioned your other Mary Janes.. but they don't carry them anymore 🙁 I never considered that style shoe, but after seeing you model them I really really want them!
