The weather is finally cool enough to wear sweaters and layers.  Thank goodness because I couldn’t take the intense heat anymore.  It was so nice not breaking a sweat while taking these photos.  These photos along with several other outfit pictures were almost lost forever when I took my new camera for a spin.  For some reason  I ended up formatting my SD card while scrolling through the pictures and everything got deleted.  My fingers must have been click happy on the new camera or something – I can’t figure out what caused me to do that.  Lesson learned – always back up your photos first.  Luckily, with Hubby’s help, I was able to retrieve some but not all.  He is so supportive and knows how much time and effort I put in to taking my photos.

This sweater dress has been one of my favorite Fall/Winter dresses. It didn’t fit perfectly off the rack but after shrinking it by drying on high heat, it now fits perfectly.  See it styled here and here

I love the ease and comfort of sweater dresses. You can dress them up or down and wear them with boots or pumps.  I’ve worn this with my brown cognac boots on the weekends and looks super cute.
On another note, I honestly cannot believe the Holiday season is right around the corner.  How is  it October already? I am certainly not anywhere ready.  Work is keeping me super busy and I finally was able to draw the winner of the Stella Dot necklace giveaway. Please contact me to claim your prize!
If I end up retrieving better photos than the ones I posted, I will update- still working on this:( Hope no one ever has to experience this.
Do you own any sweater dresses and how do you style them?

  1. Glad you got some photos back! I can’t believe the card reformatted in-camera!! And love the sweater dress layered with button down on ya. I don’t own any sweater dresses. Too body-con for me.

  3. Sweater dresses are very much a lovely fashion statement when it gets cold. I’ve even praised their beauty in my own blog- especially with boots. This is a nice color combination of white/navy with these pale pink colors. You’re put together nicely here, Annie.

  5. I don’t own any sweater dresses mostly because I have a hard time finding one with good fit–not too boxy, not too body con..oh and i hate dresses. LOL. It’s sort of on my wishlist, but waayy down there. The one you are wearing in this post is cute, but IMO, the belt is a little bit too much on top of the stripes.

    • Thanks Cher. I personally think you look amazing in dresses and skirts because of your long legs! You should wear them more often:) I tried it without the belt and it was just weird…lol

  7. I love all the pale pink accents to the outfit. Some might say the belt is too much but I like that it draws attention to your waist and breaks up the striped pattern. I’m afraid a sweater dress would be too clingy on me and not in a good way but I love the look of the horizontally striped ones.

  9. Cute combination Annie! I also liked this dress in the older post you linked where you had paired it with a chambray blouse. 🙂

  10. Hi! Love all your outfits, love this one too, but simply adore the pearls!! You have the nicest jewelry.

  13. Very pretty ensemble. I love stripes, sweater dresses, and the navy / white combo, so this is the ideal outfit for me! I really love your blog. I am petite also, and your blog gives me great style ideas. And thank you for posting where you purchase your items – that helps a lot!

  14. Love the ensemble – all of my favorite things in one: stripes, sweater dress, navy / white combo. I am 5’0″ also, so finding stylish clothes that fit is a challenge. Thank you for sharing your finds with us! I really like your style!

  15. I own quite a few sweater dresses 🙂 I love them, especially for the cooler seasons. I normally pair them with boots or stacked platform pumps. I’ve tried belts, but I don’t like the way they look on me 🙁
