Favorite Outfits of 2016

What a wild year this has been!  So many changes in my life but the best one was giving birth to Milan.  She truly has completed my world.  We’ve had a rough year together and she’s been through SO much.  Surgery at only six weeks old and then an infection, it was many difficult months but we made it through.  She is one tough cookie!  We are still dealing with her eczema and have been for six months now (sigh).  Her tummy and chest is all clear but her legs and arms still flare up and cause her to itch like crazy.  It’s been tough and we’ve tried everything.  I’m still hopeful that we can beat it.  I just want to get her some relief (so heartbreaking).  Just a little update on my family/personal life.  Anyway, here’s some of my favorite outfits from 2016!  Some items are sold out however I updated them with similar items so you can re-create each look.

  1. I’m sure you’ve tried just about everything for her eczema, but we found that Dream Cream from Lush was quite effective for my son. Happy New Year to you and your family!

  2. Hi! Thanks for all the great posts! Looking forward to all your blog posts in 2017! I’m most interested in your fashion and style posts. I’m sorry your baby is struggling with eczema. My daughter did as well. You said you’ve tried everything, so don’t want to harp on it but if you haven’t had her tested for food allergies, I recommend you ask your pedi. We didn’t have any food allergies in our families so we were surprised to find out she was positive to so many things, which in turn was causing her excruciating itching from the eczema. Just a thought for you to consider.

    • Thank you so much and I appreciate the feedback and suggestion for Milan. We are doing the elimination diet since I’m still breast feeding. I’m praying we can get to the bottom of this!

  3. My friends little boy had same eczema issues & it turned out he had moderate allergies to several foods… once she eliminated those foods it cleared up completely! It might be worth getting her tested! Good luck! ????

  4. Happy New Year!!! Thank you for your blog! I’m so glad a stumbled upon it this year! (My husband… not so much…$$$$) Good luck with Milan and getting to the bottom of the eczema! Worst thing in the world is to see your baby struggling. ????

    • Aw Happy New Year to you Alisa! You are too sweet! Thank you for reading and LOL about your husband 🙂 I’m praying this eczema thing goes away soon..I want her to enjoy playing without itching and without her whole body being covered in clothes (so frustrating). It’s the worst seeing your baby in any type of discomfort. I’m hopeful it’ll go away! <3 Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2017! XO

  5. I am so sorry about your baby’s eczema! My two boys also had bad eczema as babies into being a toddler.- it is hard to watch. We finally discovered our issues though. It was largely due to our living environment (mold), food allergies, and infections. Gluten, dairy, and egg are often a trio of food issues. I hope you are able to sort it out and start the path of healing.

    • Hi Amanda,

Thank you so much for leaving this comment. We have literally tried everything including tallow (cow fat), elimination diet, every natural remedy out there…and we were able to heal her tummy and chest. Now it’s her legs arms. The scratching just won’t stop and it’s painful to watch her so uncomfortable. We started to think it was the environment as well. Gosh I pray she gets through this – she can’t even be nude and that’s the best part!

      • I hope and pray that answers come soon. Our mold situation caused a lot of sickness in myself, my husband, and two kids. We had to treat our home and possessions like a fire.

For a simple and very effective mold test, we used mycometrics:
        https://www.mycometrics.com/index.html
Order the HERTSMI-II test. It is around $150.

It is super easy to use!

Here is a good blog about natural living and some mold advice:

        http://it-takes-time.com/mold-microbes/beginners-guide-toxic-mold/

Once we left our home, changed our diets, and started detoxing, rashes and infections started to heal. We are still just chugging along on all our detox protocols– it takes a long time– but we have seen huge changes in our health. I hope these links help and that you are able to rule things out and get answers!

  6. After I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked the -Notify
me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on every
time a comment is added I get four emails with the exact same comment.
There has to be a way you are able to remove me from that
    service? Kudos!

  7. Undeniably imagine that which you said. Your favourite reason appeared to be on the internet the easiest factor to consider of.
I say to you, I certainly get irked whilst other people consider worries that they just do not realize about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top as neatly
as defined out the entire thing with no need side effect , people can take a signal.
Will probably be again to get more. Thank you

  8. Wonderful blog! I found it while surfing around on Yahoo
News. Do you have any suggestions on how to get
listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Cheers
