I don’t know what it is about utility jackets but I’m always on the hunt for the perfect one. Why are they SO hard to find? Even though I have my old Forever 21 jacket that I love so much (see HERE), I like to update classic pieces that I wear often. The same goes with lace skirts…I have a million of them but ordered this one because it was on sale and ended up loving it.
When I saw this jacket online, my first thought was it wasn’t anything special. I ordered it during a sale to try it out since it’s available in petite sizes only because I was curious about the fit. I really wasn’t expecting to keep it or like it.
I’m happy to report – it’s a keeper! I love it. Sizing runs on true to size and I’m wearing XXSP. The color is much nicer in person than it is online. It’s a true olive green and just the right shade. The inside drawstring waist allowing you to cinch it and give it some shape. Thank goodness they didn’t over do it on the military inspired look – it’s done very tastefully and still feminine enough. The only complaint I have is that it’s a cotton and linen blend so the arms tend to wrinkle.
Measurements of XXSP (laying flat and zipped): shoulders12.5″, armpit to armpit 16″, sleeves 22″, total length 22″
I love the overall length – perfect to wear with skirts and jeans. The sleeves are long on me but I cuffed them up once and it still looks great. The price is a bit hefty but I got it on sale.
Let’s move on to this lace skirt. If you love lace, this one is super nice and petite friendly. Today is the LAST day of the sale so take advantage if you can (click HERE to shop the sale – use code FRIENDS). Aqua usually runs on the smaller side which is great for petite gals. This skirt runs very small so I’d recommend sizing up if you want a looser fit. I’m wearing XS and it’s fitted but I can still move and breathe (lol). The waist measures 12″ across and the length is 16.5″.
Loft petite twill utility jacket (xxsp) // Aqua lace mini skirt (xs) // Ann Taylor striped shirt (similar HERE) // Gucci soho disco bag // Steve Madden sandals (similar HERE) // c/o Sugarfix necklace // kate spade earrings (similar HERE) // Tory Burch sunglasses (similar HERE) // Lipstick (fetish pink) // Pink nail polish // H&M belt taken from a dress (similar HERE)
I would definitely recommend both pieces. 🙂 Thanks so much for reading and hope you had a great weekend! XO
Great skirt! Very creative look.
thank you Nancy!
You really make it seem really easy together with your
presentation but I find this topic to be really
one thing that I think I would never understand.
It kind of feels too complicated and very wide for me.
I am taking a look ahead in your next post, I’ll attempt to get the
hang of it!
Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you penning this write-up

If so how do you stop it, any plugin or anything you can suggest?
