I’m so over this May gray weather! Who’s with me? I need the sun to come back out because it totally affects my mood and activities with Milan. I now remember why I disliked living in Minnesota so much. It’s always gloomy and I couldn’t stand it. Anyway, since Summer is right around the corner, I thought I’d share some summer outfit inspiration.
This gingham knot front ruffle hem dress is ADORABLE and guess how much it is? It’s only $13! Yes…that’s it! Crazy right? I honestly didn’t have high expectations because of the price and wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to pull this off. Surprisingly, I love it! Sizing runs small however in full disclosure I did shrink it on purpose in the dryer on high heat. The original size XS may be doable if you are slightly larger than I am and of course I didn’t take measurements before washing it. Sorry! I adore the knot front detail and the cute ruffle hem. So flirty and girly!

How cute is this floral ruffle wrap cami dress? Sizing runs small and short so I’d recommend sizing up or perhaps getting regular sizes if you prefer a longer hem. I honestly wish they would make the petite dress lengths a wee bit longer – knee length or slightly above would be perfect. It’s borderline too short for me but it’ll be nice for those hot summer days. This would also be cute for beach days too.
I am completely obsessed with this ruffle sleeve bodysuit. Who knew bodysuits would make a come back but they have and they’re amazing! As you probably know, I always tuck in my tops and love a seamless look. It’s almost impossible to achieve but with a bodysuit, it takes out all that frustration and adjusting throughout the day! There are two snaps that will allow going to the bathroom without having to take off all your clothes. I always wondered how people that wear rompers or jumpsuits go the bathroom (lol).
Top: Ruffle sleeve bodysuit (size XXS) | Skirt: Topshop polkadot skirt (size US 0) | Shoes: Marc Fisher scalloped espadrille sandals | Purse: Mansur Gavriel | Necklace: c/o Henri Bendel bow necklace | Watch: c/o kate spade | Earrings: c/o Henri Bendel | Cuff: c/o Kendra Scott elton station cuff
I wore this outfit recently to the beach and I can’t even tell you how many random girls asked where I got this skirt from. This VERY popular H&M striped bow skirt from many many years ago (see HERE) is STILL a favorite. I never thought to use it as a beach coverup but it’s actually quite perfect for it. I wish they would bring it back! This outfit can be worn as a regular outfit even though the top is really a one piece swimsuit. You can go to lunch and straight to the beach or vice versa without even having to change. 🙂
Top: One piece ruffle swimsuit (size XS, another option HERE) | Skirt: H&M (old) | Shoes: Marc Fisher Adalyne espadrille sandals | Hat: c/o Tuckernuck bow hat | Bag: Mar Y sol straw tote (similar HERE or HERE) | Necklace: c/o Henri Bendel bow necklace | Watch: c/o kate spade | Earrings: c/o Henri Bendel | Cuff: c/o Kendra Scott elton station cuff
DO NOT forget to check out my sale picks for the Nordstrom half-yearly sale HERE! I love these slingback sandals so much! Also, I know so many of you have been patiently waiting for my blog post on Milan’s eczema to see what has worked and what hasn’t worked for us. There is SO much info to cover so that’s why it’s taking me so long to get it written but I promise it’s coming! 🙂 XO
