Review: Petite Jeans, Sweaters and Burgundy Booties

Before we get into some reviews and a mini Instagram roundup – let’s go over some Columbus Day weekend sales.  Ann Taylor is still running 50% off (use code FALL50).  You can check out my fitting room reviews and sale picks HERE.  Get 40% off everything at LOFT (use code FALLFEST). See recent fitting room reviews HERE.  Anthropologie is having 40% off sale styles (this is a great sale – no code needed).  I’m loving these adorable measuring cups and this layered pullover sweater.

Why is finding the perfect pair of jeans so difficult?  It’s even more difficult when you’re petite.  I love distressed jeans but can’t ever find a pair with the distressing on the knees.  These toothpick jeans are amazing and fit like a dream!  The inseam is 25″ which is great for gals with shorter legs.  No cuffing or rolling needed and look great with booties and heels.  Sizing runs true to size  and I’m wearing 24p.  These jeans are so comfortable and do not fall down throughout the day.  I love the minimal distressed look – it’s not TOO much and looks like they were naturally worn in.  The best part – the holes don’t rip wider as you bend your knees – HUGE plus.  Worth every penny.  Would highly recommend.

I loved my polka dot peplum top so much that I had to get the dress version.  You know I can never say no to anything with polka dots.  I do want to point out that the material feels kind of cheap and very unlike Banana Republic quality.  The good news is that it’s on sale for only $37!  At this price, the quality isn’t so bad (lol). That’s an amazing price for such a cute dress.  It also looks adorbs with this cropped mustard cardigan.  Plus this reversible belt (great Ferragamo dupe) is on sale for only $35 – see review HERE.

I’m obsessed with this burgundy peep toe booties! They are perfect for fall and the color is gorgeous.  The shaft height is low enough that it doesn’t cut off your legs.  Sizing runs on the smaller side so I’d recommend sizing up 1/2 size for comfort.  I was afraid the 4″ heel height would be an issue but they are pretty comfortable as far as I can tell.  I haven’t worn them for an entire day however the few hours I did walk around in them, my feet didn’t hurt (yay!).  Love and would recommend.

You may have seen this sweater on Instagram already but wanted to review them on here.  It’s the perfect little pocket sweater and comes in both regular and petite sizes.  Sizing runs true to size and I’m wearing XXSP.  It fits nicely with a little room to layer underneath if you want.  The sleeves are slightly long but I cuff it up once and it still looks good.  I love it so much, I bought it in 3 colors!  FYI – I’m wearing olive arrowwood and the color is a true mustard color in real life – very pretty.  There are seven colors to choose from!  Would highly recommend.

Distressed ankle jeans (24P) // Peplum top (xxsp) // Blush mules (on sale for only $41) // Chloe Marcie satchel // c/o Kate Spade watch // c/o Statement necklace

I have a thing for peplum tops in case you haven’t noticed (lol).  This mixed media peplum top is just darling.  Sizing is a bit odd.  I’m wearing XXSP however the arms are small and narrow but the body is very wide.  It’s hard to tell from this angle.  I still love it and would recommend.  You may want to try a couple different sizes just to be safe.

I wear my Paige Denim Verdugo cropped white jeans so often that I needed another white pair for rotation purposes.  I first stumbled upon these toothpick jeans when I was pregnant when I needed some white maternity jeans.  I loved the maternity version so much that it was obvious I needed the regular version.  Even though they are the same style as the distressed pair at the beginning of this post – the fit is a bit different.  These fit slightly looser and the ankles aren’t as tapered.  The inseam is also 25″ and perfect for short legs.  I haven’t worn these out yet but will report back if they stretch out or fall down throughout the day.  If you need a pair of white jeans, I would recommend these.

Have a great weekend! XO
